Once they realize this isn't the playoffs, they'll start hitting again. Kidding aside, it's too early to panic. The cubs have had several minor injuries, and right now they're slumping. Hard. That is compounded by the fact that they are presently playing the hottest team in the NL. Over the past 7 days: Cubs: .241/.306/.295 Cards: .341/.412/.518 As much as it sucks to be totally outmatched by a division rival, at this early stage both teams have yet to regress to our respective means.
