Hopefully, the Cubs can score a ton of runs and Harden is on. That way, rather than being frustrated by Miles ABs, we can simply laugh at him getting shut down by Justin Lehr.
Does anyone else find it remarkable that the Cards' pitching has failed to K a single Met? The NY lineup is composed of retreads, back-ups and David Wright and yet they manage 9 R on 14 H, 4 W and 0 K (thru 7+). Even the Mets pitchers are 2-2 with a BB.
Your opinions: Do the Mets presently have a worse team than the Reds? Both have lots of injuries (although the Mets have more). Personally, I'd prefer to see the Cubs play the Mets.
I've been living here about 5 years (Grad school) and I'm looking forward to leaving. STL is largely a collection of suburbs clustered around the vacant husk of a metropolitan center. If you head downtown (on a non-game day), the only people you are likely to find are construction workers and transients. Public transportation is lousy and all amenities are found in suburban/highway-side shopping centers. Throw in that violent crime rates are consistently around 3 times the national average (and neighborhoods go from decent to awful in the space of about 3 blocks) and what you have is a pretty lousy town.
Surely the Cards must realize that Holliday bats right-handed? Poor scouting on their part. A woefully unbalanced 3-6 of Pujols, Holliday, Ludwick and DeRosa will surely bring about their downfall.
Soriano walked, Fuld singled with the hit and run on and Sori moved to third. With runners on the corners, Hill singled to right to score Sori and move Fuld to third. Runners are now on the corners with Fox up and Sean Burnett pitching. Thanks!
