    I said going into this that I'd be pleased with a split. Sucks to lose this one, but they [expletive] battled this whole series (and this game especially, with Hammel leaving after 1 IP). The Cubs are a good team that appear poised to contend for a playoff spot. I'm cool with that.

    This seems like a sensible question to pose in a baseball game thread. I've lived in both cities, and the main difference between the two is that there are some pleasant aspects of Chicago.

    It seems like most pro athletes end up at least being superficially pretty conservative/religious. Meh. Not so much. His dad is the pastor at my church. How does "not so much" possibly make any kind of sense to what I said. It isn't the fact that he's a pro-athlete that made him a conservative Christian. I think you're mistaking an observed correlation for a claim of causation.
