It won't be until Len is on what he assumes to be his final broadcasting job that he'll relent and admit working for the Ricketts made him physically ill. And it only took him 9 years to come to that realization. none of us knew the depths of the ricketts depravity 9 years ago

regardless of what is said, i will always believe that the nastiness of the cubs organization was at least in part responsible for len leaving, and i will always respect the hell out of him for it

More popular among a certain subset of Cubs fans, sure. If by "subset", you mean "majority", sure. I find it hard to believe that they'd let a more popular broadcaster who wanted to do radio leave rather than just fire the less popular radio guy and replace him with Len. you think len would have watched them fire pat and then taken his job?

pls respond I did respond saying I'd be interested. This was before Len left, though. I hate what this team has become. I hate that I spent my whole life wanting to be a season ticket holder and now that I live within walking distance to Wrigley and have the opportunity the team is owned by a bunch of fascists dickheads that make me question my loyalty. i was trying to make a joke about the cubs being desperate and begging people to buy tickets

from what i understand, sharma reported him as being the favorite, but i think gordo reported that it will be him. there's been no official announcement yet, though. cubs twitter universally hates him as the pick (and not even necessarily because of politics), so maybe if that noise gets loud enough they'll listen and hire someone else? just kidding

this is dumb as horsefeathers why the hell is he obligated to put up with dumb horsefeathers he doesn't like at work if he doesn't have to? that makes him a child? FOH and i'm pretty sure he never complained about the suits publicly (and even sorta did the opposite). if he had a problem with it, he has every right to look elsewhere and it's none of your damn business why he was or wasn't happy with his work environment. I mean, it’s not anyone on this board’s business who the Cubs employ, hire, or fire, but yes, Len disrupting his career trajectory (and likely income!) over sharing airtime or his employer’s dress code would be immature and childish. The dude seems like a great guy and he can do whatever he want: I hope that he’s happy! But if that was the reason he probably wasn’t in it for the long haul anyway. you just askin questions?

i went to realgm and a lot of people seem to despise it. are they really negative over there? i haven't spent time there in years. there were a ton of incredibly reactionary posts about this pick and AK in particular. weird. i think the flower stuff was nice and i like him
