why would you expect more? mets fans seem to be pissed about this Two ML'ers for one 19 year old isn't a very common swap you aren't getting quality and quantity for 2 months of javy baez everyone suddenly loves our players again -

Cubs are the #10 farm system too If we dont end up in the top 5 after today, I will feel disappointed given who I watched leave. irrational or not getting major leaguers for kimbrel kind of put a dent in that -

hosmer is my nightmare scenario. horsefeathers that guy. i'd deal with it if it meant getting one of SD's top guys, but imagining hosmer on the cubs is gross I'd assume a haul from SD in that scenario, but right now I'm so pessimistic I just assume Horner is bad at baseball, is there more to him then I'm aware of? Is he wife beater? Is his contract an albatross? just a total meathead. lots of small stuff over the years. hates analytics, is/was one of SD's last guys to get vaccinated, etc.

Counterpoint: Jason Hammel came back after we traded him to Oakland. Hammel hadn't publicly turned down a perceived lowball extension. I'd be pretty stunned if Rizzo came back. That said, someone will have to play first base for this group next year, so who knows. hosmer

am i the only one who doesn't really feel sentimental about this? it's all just meh to me. maybe it's because this has been coming for so long, or maybe because of the vaccine stuff. i don't know. i'm just not really feeling sad at the moment, and i was pretty sad the day len left.

and the hawks havent been trying to unload seabrook for years? you keep talking about how terrible the move is but you havent explained how Seabrook's ltir benefits outweigh getting an actual player and a pick. everything I've read suggests this is a great trade for the lightning and a fine one for the blackhawks.
