  1. He threw only 1 strike to Fuku that whole at-bat.
  2. I think that's about all we can expect from Soriano
  3. lol at the Frank Caliendo commercials being back. What a nightmare. I refuse to watch that show (not that I would anyways) just because of those commercials. His impressions are actually good but they are repetitive as hell and his material blows. He's not funny.
  4. Hahaha. I'm not into video games at all, but I got a Wii as a present last Christmas and I bought all tghe Donkey Kong Country games on the virtual console since I played them when I was younger. The music is awesome.
  5. Man, the low standards for this franchise are embarrassing at times.
  6. They really serve the same purpose. So Hoffs had one big game. Wards come up with some big hits. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. I really dont see it as a make or break. lol...OK, say they both serve the same purpose, do we want: Player A, 73 AB's: .342/.400/.534, 139 OPS+ Player B, 102 AB's: .216/.319/.402, 85 OPS+ That is hardly a tough question. Hoff has had more than just "one big game". He's obviously the better player at this point. Hoff also didn't sit his ass on the bench throughout an entire year, but played nearly every day in AAA where he also mashed the hell out of the ball, hitting .362/.393/.752 with 25 HR and 34 doubles in just 71 games . And its not easy for a player, especially a rookie to go from playing everyday to being a bat off the bench. Daryle Ward career pinch hitting- .232/.328/.382 (.711)
  7. They really serve the same purpose. So Hoffs had one big game. Wards come up with some big hits. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. I really dont see it as a make or break. Hoff probably gets Wards job next year anyway. I'm not a big Hoffpauir guy, but "one big game"? Really? He's raked wherever he has been this season, and that includes the majors. Meanwhile Ward has done nothing and has crappy career numbers to boot. Really, Daryle Ward is not a good player. He had a good season last year so everybody keeps touting his "experience" when in reality his career numbers as a PH are terrible.
  8. Why? The Twins are better than the Sox.
  9. I'm calling it right now. Mauer will at least tie the game in the 9th, maybe more. Depends on who is on base. He's going gap.
  10. "Here's Ron Gardenhiner" says Stockton
  11. Look at who Lowe faced in those 6 starts. Also, the Dodgers pitching numbers are helped by Dodger Stadium big time. They have like a mid 4's ERA on the road.
  12. Up until just now, I wasn't nervous. Now I'm all strung out. It's not really a bad nervous though. Last year before they started I had a sick feeling, this year I'm excited to see what they can do.
  13. Nope. I wouldn't call the Cubs in the playoffs this year "fun." Exciting, very nerveracking, yes. Fun, no. lol wut? The playoffs didn't even start yet. Did you watch the 2003 playoffs? Like David said, they are extremely fun once you start getting deeper and you're winning. I'll never forget 2003, and I don't mean that in a bad way.
  14. By the way, all 8 "experts" picked Philly over Milwuakee, and only one of them picked the series to go more than 4 games.
  15. i was hoping this thread was going to be about a hooker
  16. This game isn't over. The Sox bullpen has been choking away everything lately
