  1. *laughs til he cries* Why? I even specified that it wasn't necessarily his fault. I guess you can't even allude to the fact that Wood might not be a saint without people here flipping out.
  2. It's comical that Hendry has allowed it to play out this way. I blame both him and Wood. If they really are such good friends, why couldn't he go to Wood and get his assurance that he would not accept arbitration? If Wood is really the golden boy that everybody makes him out to be, then he'd have no problem telling Hendry he wouldn't accept arbitration and allow the organization to get the much need picks. I can't believe it's actually going down the way it is. Wood, whether intentional or not, just f'd this organization big time.
  3. 2 mil with another possible 2 mil in incentives
  4. you mean running the ball three times from the one yard line, and expecting to get it in... what was Turner thinking? Well I don't know. There's running the ball and theres handing it to the FB for his first NFL carry on a play that has worked 0 out of the 10 times we've used it this year. There's a HB draw on 3rd and 2, and theres a HB draw on 4th and 1 inch. it wasnt a draw, don't be ridiculous. if you cant gain one yard on 3 tries then you should probably forfeit, which would have been a good idea in hind sight. They lost because they all played like crap especially Orton. that is true but that goal line stand completely changed the game. they would have been up by 11 and at the very worst they'd still be in the game right now.
  5. we're getting blown out AND berrian tied the record for the longest reception ever. pretty much worse case scenario all around tonight.
  6. you mean running the ball three times from the one yard line, and expecting to get it in... what was Turner thinking? i mean calling a low percentage passing, then running with the fullback over and over with no momentum when you're inches away from the goal line there is this cool thing called a qb sneak that is pretty handy when you're that close. i think the vikings even tried it this game, and im pretty sure it worked.
  7. i don't care how much we lose by, that awful pay calling on the goal line stand destroyed the season.
  8. you know that orton has been good this year, right? ok, just checking.
  9. and again hester costs himself at least 5 yards by running sideways
  10. this team sucks so much ass. crucial 3rd down coming out of a timeout and you screw up the route.
  11. WHY ARE YOU FAIR CATCHING THE BALL AT THE 5 YARD LINE YOU MORON
  12. kind of funny to see chester taylor breaking tackles
  13. there goes the momentum
  14. have to at least hold them to a field goal here.
  15. Dumping his salary will not benefit the team unless they dump it to free up space to sign someone like Mark Teixeira. I don't think they'd dump Lee without the intent on getting a equally good or better 1B. This team is trying to move forward, not backward. If they try and trade Lee, it will likely be for a step forward. And you keep talking about "Who said they are trying to trade Lee?" when you yourself posted your source who, when you cut through all the muck, pretty much said they're trying to trade Lee. "Derrek has blocked a trade already" as quoted from his agent makes it seem pretty clear cut to me that yes, they are in fact trying to trade Derrek Lee. So I don't know why you keep going on about "There's a difference between trying to trade and listening to offers" when it's clear that the Cubs are trying/have tried to move him already based off Churchill's interactions with Lee's agent, so I'm confused as to why you keep harping on that whole thing. How do you not see the difference? trying to trade Lee- calling around, telling GMs that he's available. aka not wanting to go into the season with him listening to offers- willing to trade him if the right deal presents itself, but ultimately being fine going into the season with him that's what i'm talking about, at least. you may choose to use different words. churchill said they tried to trade him to a specific team. that doesn't automatically mean they are trying to trade him to any team. maybe that team offered them something that they really liked, or something that the padres really liked. for example..... the cubs are willing to trade vitters, while the padres are trying to trade the padres. do you see the difference there?
  16. being realistic, does any of this really matter? whichever of these teams makes the playoffs will be one and out
  17. They're not. They are this game. No, they're not. seriously? come on. what? they are up because of a blown coverage on berrian and a missed tackle on peterson. that was really their only good drive that wasn't made by one play.
  18. oh shut thell up al davis. it looked like he might be out for the season after that viscious late hit? right frerrotte is heroic
  19. no way. once they're out of it they'll rally with some "bears pride" wins and then take a db late in the first round
  20. now this will be overturned and they'll kill the rest of the clock....and then score
