    Sure they were. He's young, was always a great prospect, and was already good before this season and getting better and better. There was no reason not to like him, unless you were worried about the anxiety stuff. Point is it's not some big shock that Greinke is doing well. He was expected to be good.

    Did you watch Friday? He still strikes out every time people throw him sliders low and away. the Cardinals either didn't have the pitchers to do that today, or forgot yesterday. To be fair, the starter yesterday had great movement on his sliders, better than any of the Cardinals pitchers who have pitched since he was pulled. the fact that he strikes out a lot doesn't mean hasn't taken a decent amount of walks in recent years. he did in 2006, did again last season, and is doing it again this season.

    it seems like a lot of people don't realize that soriano actually drew a good amount of walks last season too
