    i never understand when people say this. the only way a person would even see a cuss word is if they were standing over your shoulder reading. and if they did, they'd be close enough to see that its a baseball message board. why would they care if somebody on it said a bad word?

    i didn't see the game.... why was he blowing his fingers during a 6-14, 18 point performance? i looked at the pbp and didn't see any stretch of baskets he made or anything

    an average closer has..what.. like 5-7 blown saves a year? if you carry 3 closers that's like 15-20 blown saves a year. that's almost one a week.

    actually if you're in that league it would be kinda dumb to even draft any closers. you're better off just skipping them and drafting other players since going without closers won't really hurt you. you won't win saves but you'll never lose BS

    Really depends on what you mean by regular basis, but, then again, I don't see how what you're saying contradicts anything that I said. If you're trying to suggest that he was averaging anywhere near 95, you're way off base. I'm saying that his velocity was down, which it was. Averaging 95? I don't know, but I do know he was hitting it several times a start, and at the end of the season he was never touching it.

    I don't know about that. All I know is that when he came to the Cubs he was hitting 95 on a regular basis, and in the last few weeks of the season he was never getting past 92

    No for the first couple of months he was with the Cubs he was touching mid 90's on a regular basis. Then toward the end of the season he wasn't hitting any higher than 91-92. That's when he started walking a ton of guys and wasn't missing as many bats.

    which is where my "how long does khabibulin get a free pass on here?" comments come from. khabi has been awful since he came back and was awful again tonight, yet nobody criticizes him. if it was huet playing tonight and had the same performance there would be at least 10 posts whining about him

For a hockey thread, it's pretty close to a May Cubs game. People are already jumping off the ship and writing the team off in the playoffs because they blew a three goal lead against a team with insane firepower that the Sharks have. Oh yeah, we still ended up winning the game too. i only saw one person write the team off for the playoffs... and he wasnt even in the game thread until that post True, but a lot of "expletives" to go along with "Khabibulin sucks" equals overreacting at its finest. i said khabibulin sucks again, which he has since he came back. and how is an expletive after you blow a late lead overreacting? it's called reacting
