  1. It's only as Sandberg the manager though
  2. I have a feeling you'll be saying that all year long. After one game, a preseason game? Once Cutler gets comfortable I doubt we'll see too many Grossmanesque throws like the one tonight. cutler throws a lot of picks
  3. If the 2008 was a better team than 2007, how, exactly, has it gotten "progressively worse"? What? I said LOU has gotten progressively worse, not the team. You do realize a manager doesn't really make that much of a difference, right? Yes, and I pretty much already said that. I don't really know what that has to do with anything though. All I said was that I can see why some people want Lou gone.

  5. Because he's a poor manager? "What are you talking about?!? He won us back to back division titles and won 97 games last season!" Seriously, Lou has gotten progressively worse since he's gotten here, and has been flat out BRUTAL this season. I'm not even saying he should or will be fired, but come on. There's a very good reason a lot of people want him gone. Stop looking at win/loss records to determine how good a manager is. Look at the moves he makes and what he does. If you do that, it's easy to see that he's been pretty awful.
  6. uhhhhhhh.... aaahahahahaa
  7. the 2004 team was actually good
  8. Yeah, he was [expletive] horrible in 2007 and 2008. Oh, wait. Oh wait what? Did he not regress since he became a cub? He hasn't come close to his numbers that he had as a National. He's had leg injuries that sapped his speed. He was a "supposed" 40/40 guy he hasn't sniffed that here. I don't like him as a player and he's overpaid, the Cubs will be affected by his contract in years to come. Look at his numbers now and imagine how bad he will be 2 years from now and on. soriano's stolen base numbers HURT his team in 2006. and no, his offensive numbers didn't decline in 07 and 08. they were actually 2 of the better seasons in his career, rate wise
  9. soriano didn't regress until this season
  10. that's just stupid
  11. seems like he knows he's going to be on the 2003 list so he's admitting it now and making sure everyone here's it so he can be like "well, i told you i was on it" when his name comes out.
  12. if anything, that idiot should have thrown his beer at lou or one of the cubs players. hey, we're getting raped by a better team... what should i do? I'LL THROW A BEER ON HIM
  13. no guys, he's awesome. he was just rushed. give him 6 more years and let's see if he shows any signs
  14. because lou is completely clueless and needs to go
  15. lol are you really implying that his outing wasn't awful just because he didn't give up any hits?
  16. But then I would miss all of this By all means, if you need to boost your self esteem by insulting anonymous internet posters, go ahead. I'm here for you man good to know because that is exactly what i need judging by your sig, avatar, and username, i'm shocked. oh now i've resorted to your level of insults, but it feels so good! i have more self esteem already.
  17. But then I would miss all of this EDIT: You could put me on ignore, if you cared enough. But I don't hate you, and I'm not going around insulting you. I don't really care about you.
  18. But then I would miss all of this By all means, if you need to boost your self esteem by insulting anonymous internet posters, go ahead. I'm here for you man
  19. Only if its the Cubs. Previous playoff experiences don't count, either. and for the 734th time, i never said anything about it only being the cubs. once again though i call out one of your ridiculous points and you change the subject instead. whatever, just put me on ignore. i'm done with this.
  20. Human emotions most certainly do work that way. In fact, it's part of human emotions to falsely believe that we immune from analysis. you can break down all human emotions? so shouldn't you be rich and famous then? that's kind of groundbreaking, dude and you're accusing people of obnoxious replies? jesus Seriously 3 posts from you in a row that have done nothing more than insult me. how about you just put me on ignore buddy

In fact, it's part of human emotions to falsely believe that we immune from analysis. you can break down all human emotions? so shouldn't you be rich and famous then? that's kind of groundbreaking, dude and you're accusing people of obnoxious replies? jesus no, yours were obnoxious because you jump in out of nowhere and start asking stupid questions that you know the answer to and talking about things i've already explained over and over again.

  23. Those were just examples of what comes with the territory. They were a small part of my point, yet you keep harping on them. There is more pressure on the Cubs in general, for a ton of reasons. If you want to deny that, go ahead. I'm done with that. Anyways, read my last post. You're still trying so hard to fully break this down and pinpoint reasons for every tiny little thing. Human emotions don't work that way, Kyle. They haven't proven anything, unless you want to pretend that A) A tiny sample size shows exactly what a player is and will always be in the playoffs and B) Trying to perform in the minors is the same as trying to perform on the biggest stage while millions of people are watching them
  24. is that the same formula that had willie harris being worth like 16 million last year? the fact of the matter is that right niow, teams pay for offense. they don't pay for defense. that forumla has willie harris being worth 16 million because of his defense, but it would be ridiculous to actually give him that. why? because you don't have to. if all you want is a badass defender, you can get them for dirt cheap
