  1. stop booing you stupid rednecks
  2. wait, 7 minutes? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH whatever, it's gonna be awesome when they don't score on this
  3. it wasn't as bad as the first angle, but he definitely left his feet. and now the blues get the pp out of it. hilarious
  4. and now an obvious charge and STILL no penalty this is [expletive] garbage. the blues are headhunting like crazy and the refs are letting it happen. i'm all for phyical play, but that's 2 obviously dirty shots and the refs have missed both.
  5. how do you not call that forearm to the face by jackman on kane? jesus
  6. its sucks that the joke that is called the eastern conference might save his job
  7. the derosa trade was the one good part of last offseason.
  8. and 1 or 2 softies from marty
  9. all night the new jersey announcers just kept saying how all season they haven't seen the devils fail to compete like they did tonight. every big test they have (san josa, the home and homes with detroit/nashville, and now nj) they have just dominated the other team
  10. god if i was huet i'd be beyond pissed at duncan for that.
  11. dominating
  12. I do realize that, but he was a bad defensive CF last year. Moving him to RF will improve the defense, and probably still give us better production then we got out of Bradley last year. Especially if we find the right platoon partner for him. For example how would a Jonny Gomes and Fukudome platoon in RF look next season? I do not think Fukudome was bad in CF, and I doubt Byrd will be better. fukudome was very bad in center last year, and byrd is about average there. so yes, he should be a lot better. also, it helps the d in rf. so that's 2 defensive positions upgraded with 1 move.
  13. You do realize that Byrd had the 3rd best OPS among all major league CFs last season? Do you realize the Cubs already had a good hitting CF last year? Now they are moving him to RF where he won't be comparably good. the difference between fukudome's defense in center and his defense in rf so far in the majors has been enormous. moving fukudome to right helps the defense greatly.
  14. that's dumb. the vikings didn't even use their 3rd timeout. if they could gain an advantage by an extra timeout, then why didn't they even use all of theirs? and you're not accepting that they'll score. you're giving yourself a chance to still win at the end of regulation IF they do score. if you call timeouts there, you're giving yourself a better chance to win the game, period. thinking otherwise is just being shortsighted. this is not even some bizarre strategy or anything. this is pretty much basic clock management. a head coach usually uses the timeouts in that situation.
  15. Scherzer couldn't really add to his minor league numbers last year when he was pitching 170 IP in the majors with a 9.19 K/9 and 3.33 BB/9 leading to a 3.87 FIP and 4.12 ERA, but I guess I can see where Kennedy's minor league numbers could be thought of as better, although I think I might consider the two equal. The type of extremely low HR numbers Kennedy put up in the minors seem like they are somewhat lucky, unless he really has a very low HR/FB rate (since Kennedy definitely doesn't seem to be a GB pitcher). either way, i don't see how you could say they got raped in the deal, and i don't even like edwin jackson very much.
  16. they should have been more aggressive on not giving jason bay 4/66
  17. why? i'm just going on minor league numbers, but kennedy's are better.
  18. he's still horrible at clock management. he did it again at the end of rgulation last night. he should have started calling timeouts when the vikings were trying to get into the endzone right at the end. even the horrible mnf crew picked up on it. instead of 15 seconds left (when cutler kneeled), they should have had like 45 seconds (plus one timeout) left to try and get into field goal range. a lot of the time it's like he completely ignores the clock in crucial situations
  19. Niemi started today no he didn't d'oh, I'm in St. Croix so I didn't watch the game until the very end, we musta pulled Huet. i edited it to explain
  20. Niemi started today no he didn't huet gave up the first 4 and was pulled right at the beginning of the 2nd. niemi played the final 37 minutes and was outstanding. he kept us in the game in the 3rd.
  21. that's not even close to being accurate. before tonight he had given up 9 goals in his last 6 games. tonight he only gave up 1 in 37 minutes.
  22. ill say it again. it's hard for me to get too excited about this team when we have huet starting.
  23. kopecky is awful
  24. nice breakdown there
  25. jason bay- 4/66 adam dunn- 2/20 nice
