i guess i dont know wtf i'm talking about. when the warriors beat the mavs as the 8 seed a few years ago, i thought i remember that being the first 8 seed to win in eith the nba or nhl. now that i look that up, it appears they weren't even the first nba team to do it

tommy hanson turned 23 in august last year and had 2 years of full-season ball under his belt, including spending most of the previous year at AA. starlin castro just turned 20 a month ago and has played only 1 year of full-season ball, most of which was spent in A ball. hanson starting the year in AAA was in large part a financial decision; starting castro in AA has a lot more to do with not rushing the player and hurting his development. Yes but it seems to be that Castro is ready to join the big leagues. He showed it in ST and has shown it in the minors. I don't think he can really develop any more down there. He has maxed out the development he could get in the minors. Please explain how he's maxed out in development in the minors. That's ridiculous. The point is that having Castro in the big leages makes the Cubs better. how do you know that?

No, in the 05-06 playoffs the top 4 seeds in the West all went out in the first round. ahh, i was thinking anaheim was the first 8 seed to win

is this the first time in NHL history that a 6 seed (boston) has had home ice in the second round?

colvin's actually .965, but yeah. if ramirez and lee were hitting, our offense would be stacked right now

He's not they showed his stats in elimination games and they were really good. something like 28/12 and around 48% from the field. so there's that at least

it will be a joke if mike green wins the norris. not a surprise that he was the one to give up the second (and game winning) goal. i'd be fine with doughty (i think he probably deserves it actually, sorry dunc), but mike green better not win it.

i want to see what he can do as a starter. he has great minor league numbers and he's been very good this year so far. he was good in his time with the cubs last year too.

Sandberg and Brenly have the ability to be worse than Lou. sandberg likely WOULD be worse than lou

so either boston or philly will be in the conference finals. crazy. the pens must be loving this. they'll probably go like 8-2 in these next 2 series and cruise to the finals
