  1. should we be at all worried about the rust factor after wrapping up this series so quickly?
  2. yesss. i've been wanting somebody to make that. did you guys see bolland facewash the [expletive] out of seabrook after the empty netter?
  3. can't even imagine how bad sharks fans are feeling right now. they played well enough to be tied 2-2 in this series, or even up 3-1 if they got more breaks. also, the heatley penalty that set up buff's game winner was a pretty terrible call (even though we were probably owed it). pretty amazing that we swept them when you consider how evenly played this series was. like kujay said, this team has "it".
  4. it's lima's time RIP
  5. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2010/news/story?id=5211318 wouldn't surprise me at all if montreal did this intentionally
  6. He thought he knocked it over the fence with his glove, which is a home run. thats what i meant
  7. he thought it was over the fence, but still pretty bad
  8. it would be so cubs to move cashner to the pen this season it's possibilities like this that make me hope the cubs just tank so they take away the temptation from hendry to do more stupid things
  9. can somebody tell me the name of the announcer in this clip? i hear him all the time but i always forget his name
  10. my favorite highlight of the postseason so far is still bolland's shorty against vancouver. i watch that on youtube like every day
  11. i'll back up what was said earlier: the UC sounded WAY louder on TSN. i just watched the TSN highlights and couldn't believe how different the place started. Versus broadcasts always make the crowds sound worse than they are, for whatever reason
  12. Yeah, the whole thing has been a major step back. They've been doing this for years, but I agree. I always watch the first couple of rounds of the playoffs, but by the time it gets to the conference finals, there are so many off days that I quickly lose interest. not to mention the playoffs have been atrocious this year.
  13. i just can't believe that vince isn't being the big game player orlando wanted him to be.
  14. am i the only one thinks this is awesome? this team blows, we might as well get as much comedy out of it as we can.
  15. so you think it's acceptable for a player to quit on a play whenever he wants, as long as he's a great player?
  16. Pointing out that one team has the momentum and is currently carrying play = doom and gloom? Just because the scope of your hockey analysis only consists of "They're the Hawks, they'll win" doesn't mean the rest of us aren't allowed to share our unbiased in-game feelings about how the game is going. Nobody was being unreasonably negative, at all.
  17. dex, calm down, my friend. The Hawks won and yet you seem to want to take the fun out it. Grab a beer, get some sleep and find some optimism when you wake up in the morning. your last line tells me that you didn't even read my whole post. nobody here is lacking the correct amount of optimism, yet you keep acting like you're the only one who believes in this team. like i said, not upet or anything... just pointing it out.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6vCwHvOmlM yeah, the announcer didn't know it went in and neither did the guy operating the horn. also check out dunc getting mangled in the mosh pit at 1:19 didn't realize until just now had bad the sharks messed up on that. there were 4 sharks around the net and bolland was the only one who knew that buff was there. just a complete breakdown by san jose. great keep from campbell too
  19. i don't really buy into game-to-game momentum, but i do think it's important in-game.... and it felt like the sharks had all of it. they outplayed us in the 3rd (althought not nearly as badly as that 18-6 shot differential indicates), and it seemed like the life was sucked out of the stadium after they tied it. i mean, i wasn't completely down on them or anything. obviously it was still a toss up and each team had an equal chance of winning. i just didn't like the way the game felt at that point. felt like the ice was tilted to san jose. was i the only one who didn't know that buff's shot went in immediately? i thought it hit the crossbar or was shot high, then all of a sudden i see them celebrating. the announcer wasn't sure at first either.
  20. in the postgame press conference, Q was saying that also. i was kind of surprised. i thought they outplayed the sharks in overtime.
  21. I wasn't feeling anything but confident with a slight nerves heading into OT. But you, kyle, and dex made it sound like it was automatic the Hawks were going to lose. I knew there was a chance, but I have confidence in the Hawks to get the job done. no we didn't. we voiced that we didn't feel good about the game, and i'm sure most people watching the game felt the same way we did after the way the 3rd unfolded. not trying to ruin the mood, but please stop acting like you are the only one with confidence in this team. it seems like half your posts in this thread are after the game saying "i knew we'd win, you guys dont back them like i do" etc.
  22. he looked behind the net just as bolland was making the pass. they showed buff's view and nabakov was standing completely upright and still looking behind the net
  23. Niemi now with a .922 save percentage in the postseason .958 in the WCF
