    am i making too much of it, or was it weak for him to say that? kinda sounds like he's making excuses for a goal that is all on him and definitely not carle. that shot just can't go in under any circumstances in a stanley cup game. that was worse than any of his 5 in game 1.

    even though it probably wasn't true at the time, i've felt this way since we went up 2-0 on the sharks coming back home. it was at that point it actually hit me that "holy crap, this is really happening". that was when i was all in... meaning anything less than a cup would be devastating. i remember a specific moment when my feelings changed from "we have as good a chance as anybody" to "OH MY GOD, we actually should win a championship this year" if the blackhawks win one of the next 2, they guArantee themselves 3 shots at winning the cup... with 2 of the 3 games at home. just win one in philly. that's all you gotta do

    was i the only one that was kind of disgusted by mcguire's talk about the flyers? after they scored their first goal (a lucky ass goal on a power play when the hawks were completely dominating them before the penalty) he was raving about how impressed he was that the flyers hadn't quit. yeah, they reminded me of the 1980 USA team with the way they got that power play goal. just amazing heart. it was all night too. at first it was just him raving about leighton early (when leighton wasn't doing anything) and then it just kept escalating into a full blown love affair.

    i once was offered 5 dollars to kill a man. i was strongly considering it, but i was too afraid it was a setup by the cops. so i think it's definitely reasonable

    i'm about 99.999999% sure that that was from a flyers fan either making things up, or hearing what he wanted to hear. melrose would never say that. he's been on the hawks bandwagon the entire season. i've heard him say on several occasions during this season that the hawks are the best team in the nhl.

    yeah it was a bad penalty by sharp for sure. i really felt like the brouwer and sharp penalties really turned that game around. we had all the momentum, were DOMINATING them, and then the game completely flipped after sharp's PP.

    whatttt? i thought we dominated that period. i thought philly was a little better in the 1st. We outshot them 9-3 in the first. They had *nothing* going. neither did we philly came out and outskated us in the first five minutes iirc yup, at least. i thought the second period favored us much more

    it's not necessarily that they're bad, it's that there are so many of them. they ruined it by making 15 of them for each game

    almost makes up for the all those atrocious "history will be made" commercials. what is wrong with you the first 5 or so were cool. then they decided to do one for every single play of every single playoff game. no, i don't need to see patrick marleau scoring a rebound goal in reverse and half the time, the "what if ____" part doesn't even make sense. i saw one that said "what if toews stayed home?"/ why the [expletive] owuld toews have stayed home?

    brouwer needs to cool it or he should be the one to sit when/if ladd comes back. he got lucky earlier on a dirty hit (left his feet, obvious elbow to to the head) that probabyls hould have been a 5 minute major, and then takes a stupid penalty at a horrible time now. you can't play that stupid in the stanley cup finals
