  1. I don't remember any criticism at all Also, Foley was in love with him all season
  2. I'm still dumb with contracts. So if we matched him, does that mean he's ours? Or can other teams still sign him to offer sheets?
  3. Yeah, I'd rather take a gamble on him than more depth type prospects. BJ Upton is the player Corey Patterson was supposed to be. The Rays are sour on on him b/c he doesn't run as fast as he can to get to balls in the gap and some other things attitude wise. What? BJ Upton kind of sucks. That's why they've soured on him. 2008- .273/.383/.401 2009- .241/.313/.373 2010- .230/.320/.395 He's getting ready to turn 26. Where are the results? I'd take him for Lilly in a second. Upton played hurt all last year. Is he playing hurt again this year? Yea, I'd take him for Lilly too..... but he's "what Patterson was supposed to be"? When? 2008? Unless you're saying Patterson was supposed to be a .700 OPS hitter
  4. After his .894 OPS in 2007, he has kind of fallen off a cliff (.784, .686, .715 since) but he's only 25 (26 in August) and was an elite prospect (#2 in baseball in 2004). His past two BABIPs have been a bit lower than his career average as well (.334 career; .310 in 2009 and .290 this year). Defensively, he's very good according to UZR/150: 10.7 in LF and 5.5 in CF. He just lost an arbitration hearing before the year and is making $3 million this year. I'll admit it's more the elite prospect status that intrigues me about him, but I can definitely see the reasons we wouldn't have interest in him. My thinking is, if we can't get one or more current top prospect(s) for Lilly, I'd take Upton before a package of lower minors/upside guys. 5. I hope the Heat get Shaq, AI, and T-Mac so we can see the first ever on-court brawl between members of the same team
  6. If we lose Hjalmarsson I don't think we're even a lock for the playoffs
  7. That was the back breaker
  8. 2009- .322/.414/.567 2010- .314/.421/.588 who could have predicted such a great season
  9. I think there's like a .0000001% chance Fisher signs with the Heat. The only chance would be if it turned out his daughter didn't need that doctor in LA anymore, and I still don't think he would do it. It's Phil Jackson's last season, Kobe's attempt at #6 (to tie Jordan), and their chance together at a second three-peat. He's not leaving. He's just trying to get more out of the Lakers.
  10. no way niemi ends up being had at 2.2. he's going to get paid
  11. apparently that's what he said as the intro thing. i don't know if it was 7 in a row or just 7 total. either way, i don't see it, especially when most people think wade is going to start slowing down in a couple years
  12. but speaking of d-wade, good lord is that guy a scumbag. 2 months ago i liked him. whoops he's not saying the bulls "played on my emotions" to come to chicago. now he says that he left his real family to join his "miami family". he says miami is "now my real family" way to go, dwyane. so the heat have lebron, the biggest [expletive] in pro sports. they have wade, a 2-face.. and they have bosh, a little tagalong trying to get his face everywhere and go along for the ride. and we're probably going to have to see them celebrate a title at least 2-3 times over the next 6 years. oh and btw lebron, you're not winning 7 titles, you clown. this dude is saying the games are "going to be easy" when falls comes around and that they're going to win 7. right. even if it works out great, you aren't winning every year. and even if you do, jordan's 6 and kobe's 5-6 will still be way ahead of your 7.
  13. and gave up a lot of money to do it
  14. RedFlash are you going to answer the question of what the "real story" was on Fisher leaving Utah?
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOsamobHeMc&feature=player_embedded anybody know how long ago that was?
  16. I think Brad might rather stay here.
  17. Rumors he's going to Miami. That's Mike Miller Brad Miller too as part of the MLE. I'm disappointed in you, Brad Where did you see that?
  18. Rumors he's going to Miami. That's Mike Miller
  19. Yeah, that's the thing that annoys me most about everything. These guys knew the whole time this was happening. Everything was just part of the big show. Wade pretending he's interested in Chicago, Bosh bringing camera crews to interviews to make a documentary, etc. It was all part of the attention whoring. I'm also pretty sure that LeBron's crew put all those Knicks rumors out there during the last couple days. All of a sudden we see these celebrities and athletes in other sports tweeting that they found out he's going to the Knicks. Why? To get the biggest tv market interested in watching "The Decision". I hope those guys realize that the Heat immediately become the most hated team in sports. It will be interesting to see how they do when every team they play is gunning for them.
  20. and JR stated that Lebron only requested that they hire his trainer, which the Bulls agreed to do. i think it's all moot anyways. i think he was going to miami all along and that was that. all that talk and speculation, and i'm pretty sure we never had the slightest chance. it was always miami.
  21. I threw Rondo up there as a jab at SSR. And no he isn't. He's a step behind, but not a worse point guard. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=rosede01&y1=2010&p2=willide01&y2=2010 He's a step behind and still developing big difference than being a "worse point guard." http://www.thefreedictionary.com/worse
  22. I'd hope not. If we lose Hjalmarsson we have no chance of even going deep in the playoffs next season. i think we'd be a low seed.
  23. When team's choose to match, do they usually do it right away?
  24. what if the heat get shaq and then face the lakers in the finals? kobe going for 6 and tying jordan, shaq going for 5 and tying kobe, wade going to for 2, lebron going for his first
  25. imagine if the heat won the 2008 lottery instead of the bulls.
