  1. Yeah, that's the thing that annoys me most about everything. These guys knew the whole time this was happening. Everything was just part of the big show. Wade pretending he's interested in Chicago, Bosh bringing camera crews to interviews to make a documentary, etc. It was all part of the attention whoring. I'm also pretty sure that LeBron's crew put all those Knicks rumors out there during the last couple days. All of a sudden we see these celebrities and athletes in other sports tweeting that they found out he's going to the Knicks. Why? To get the biggest tv market interested in watching "The Decision". I hope those guys realize that the Heat immediately become the most hated team in sports. It will be interesting to see how they do when every team they play is gunning for them.
  2. and JR stated that Lebron only requested that they hire his trainer, which the Bulls agreed to do. i think it's all moot anyways. i think he was going to miami all along and that was that. all that talk and speculation, and i'm pretty sure we never had the slightest chance. it was always miami.
  3. I threw Rondo up there as a jab at SSR. And no he isn't. He's a step behind, but not a worse point guard. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=rosede01&y1=2010&p2=willide01&y2=2010 He's a step behind and still developing big difference than being a "worse point guard." http://www.thefreedictionary.com/worse
  4. I'd hope not. If we lose Hjalmarsson we have no chance of even going deep in the playoffs next season. i think we'd be a low seed.
  5. When team's choose to match, do they usually do it right away?
  6. what if the heat get shaq and then face the lakers in the finals? kobe going for 6 and tying jordan, shaq going for 5 and tying kobe, wade going to for 2, lebron going for his first
  7. imagine if the heat won the 2008 lottery instead of the bulls.
  8. So again, he needs to get good teammates, but they can't be too good. It's an absurd argument. most of the greats would enjoy beating the best instead of joining them
  9. i turned it off after he said miami, so i didn't know he was this much of a dick afterward. "i was going to do what's best for lebron james". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jqF7Qa8h9w did he even offer a real apology to cavs fans? how can you do NOTHING? it's surreal.
  10. yeah, it's going to be wild to see how this plays out.
  11. I think if you want to beat the Heat you have to do it the first year when they still adjusting to each other and having no depth. But if and when they developed even an average bench, they'll be virtually impossible to stop. That is until Wade hurts himself, I mean get broken. they might have more depth than we expect, especially if they sign miller. i think the 3 contracts might be a little smaller than we think, and that could be reallllly bad for everybody else.
  12. anyways, basketball wise it will be really interesting to see how the heat do this year. could be insanely ridiculous or it could be disappointing
  13. laughing to myself?
  14. Yep. All 3 guys are pretty much scum now imo, and that's not just me being bitter. I thought Wade was better than this. I really did. It was bad enough he played us, but to use the kids?
  15. Am I the only one who looks at Kobe under a completely different light than 2 months ago?
  16. mike miller signing with heat, stern continues to allow the nba to be ruined http://www.ksfy.com/Global/story.asp?S=12778542
  17. that's pretty bad
  18. apparently the t-wolves swapped 1st rounders with the heat in that beasley trade, and it's not lottery protected which means the heat are going to be getting a lottery pick. just [expletive] great
  19. i guess noah is making fun of them already, saying "they're gonna be real hollywood down there" i like boozer and noah firing off the warning shots. it's probably all futile, but i still like the atittude.
  20. You're kidding, right? Danny Ferry absolutely, positively bent over backwards to get new/better players in. Hughes was a huge bust. Mo Williams didn't work out as well as expected. The Shaq experiment was decent, but not fantastic. Jamison never seemed to find his spot. The whole Wally/Big Ben trade a few years ago. They surrounded him with talent. Varejao, Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, and Shaq (a very solid 20-minute player). Anthony Parker and Delonte West were more than capable reserves. Guys like Boobie Gibson (who pretty much personally sent us to the finals in the game after LeBron's explosion game), Jamario Moon, and Leon Powe couldn't even find the floor. The whole "Cleveland didn't surround LeBron with enough talent" argument just doesn't hold water anymore. They were the second most talented team in the NBA last year, in my opinion. LeBron played absolutely, positively terrible against the Celtics. The whole elbow drama mixed in with this ridiculous drama makes the blame fall into LeBron's lap. I think they TRIED to surround him with the necessary talent, but they failed. i don't blame lebron for leaving at all, but it was the way he left that was fucked up.
  21. Really falling more and more in love with Kevin Durant. SOme guy on his twitter was talking to him about Durant wanting to be the man on his team and not get another superstar
  22. Between this and wishing the Bulls still had Hinrich and Salmons you're on a roll tonight. John Salmons is a fine basketball player. Not for 5/40
  23. I still think in reprehensible that LeBron didn't at least tell the Cavs and their fans what was going on before the special. If he really cared about Cleveland, he would have made a seperate announcement last night telling them he was leaving, so they woudln't have to find out the way they did. I mean, you don't even tell the FO? Absolutely pathetic

  25. cavs majority own dan gilbert goes off on lebron in open letter to cleveland- http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html also says this-
