This offseason is shaping up to be disastrous for some teams. With the ridiculous offer from ATL to Johnson and the amount of teams with massive cap space, I think it's gotten pretty unlikely that any of the top 6-7 guys sign for anything less than the max. Very scared to see how this plays out for the Bulls. We could either strike out (again), or we could overpay for talent that isn't good enough to win a championship. Do we really want to give guys like Carlos Boozer and David Lee the max? The talk has been that those guys would come at a price below that, but I don't think so anymore.... especially if the Miami stuff ends up being true. I think we'd have to give those guys the max if we want them, and even that might not be good enough.
