  1. kyle, how much do you think ladd, hjalmarsson, and niemi will get?
  2. As far as I can tell, that should be it, unless someone goes nuts on an offer sheet for one of our RFAs. I think we can even afford to keep Ladd. This would end up being an amazing offseason (considering what we were prepared for) if this is it. I was just concerned about keeping Sharp and Hjalmarsson, and now we might not even end up losing Ladd? Awesome Red Wings fans must be lovin this
  3. how many more guys do you think we're going to lose?
  4. lebrun says versteeg has been traded to toronto. from his twitter- anybody know anything about those players? anyways, i'm thrilled if this means we get to keep laddy.
  5. exactly. if you believe the media, then lebron has gone from leaning towards chicago to miami to cleveland in a matter of a week. i think it's likely that lebron has had a heavy favorite in his mind for a while now, and nobody knows who it is. i think it's naive to think this is a decision that he hasn't been giving heavy consideration for years. 40% chicago 30% cleveland 20% miami 10% nj/ny that's how i feel about it right now. but like i said, this means nothing. we have no clue wtf is going on. this isn't even an informed prediction. we're all just spinning our wheels. it's fun though
  6. im convinced flyseye = wrigley23
  7. So using your logic, the Reds are in first now , so Dusty must have become a good manager ? Great argument. lol what? apparently you don't understand my argument at all. that's basically the opposite of what i'm saying maybe you just don't understand this thread
  8. if the choice was between signing boozer for the max or whiffing and coming up empty handed, would you take him?
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5343153 terrible
  10. apparently byron scott is going to the cavs. would he accept that job if he didn't know lebron was coming back?
  11. and 2 other people are saying he's going to miami. and 2 other people are saying he's going to chciago. and 2 other people say he's going to nj. and 2 other people are saying he's going to japan.
  12. they probably want a good one though
  13. i don't understand this irrational hatred you display towards ricketts. it's getting creepy
  14. except for the ball in the face. that hurts the most. but the embarrassment hurts the second most
  15. you know what hurts the most? the embarrassment
  16. why even spend money on managers? they can only cost you 1 win, right? might as well just hire a nobody and save some cash. they're irrelevant.
  17. great argument. so did dusty do an ok job in 2006 because the team sucked so bad anyways?
  18. nope. they confirmed it on nbatv
  19. richard jefferson just opted out of his 15 mil with the spurs lollllll lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
  20. This offseason is shaping up to be disastrous for some teams. With the ridiculous offer from ATL to Johnson and the amount of teams with massive cap space, I think it's gotten pretty unlikely that any of the top 6-7 guys sign for anything less than the max. Very scared to see how this plays out for the Bulls. We could either strike out (again), or we could overpay for talent that isn't good enough to win a championship. Do we really want to give guys like Carlos Boozer and David Lee the max? The talk has been that those guys would come at a price below that, but I don't think so anymore.... especially if the Miami stuff ends up being true. I think we'd have to give those guys the max if we want them, and even that might not be good enough.
  21. but seriously, are you going to pretend that we don't have good reasons to want lou gone? it's really just because we are looking for a scapegoat? come on. there are 25 pages of examplex. look through this thread if you want to see the reasons we want lou gone. you really think he's doing an ok job? yes, the team sucks and they'd suck no matter who was managing them right now. that doesn't mean we can't admit that lou is making them worse. he's supposed to get a free pass because the team sucks anyways? lou is making it worse with his atrocious moves. nobody is claiming that lou is the reason we suck.
  22. except for getting rid of a terrible manager who constantly makes astonishingly bad baseball decisions. it does accomplish that
  23. why are you talking aobut [expletive] that happened several years ago to a completely different roster? this isn't your best thread Well we can talk about last year when the Heat were a better team. Because of a ridiculous stretch where the Bulls were missing Rose/Noah/Deng at the same time and tanked. Not to mention we had VDN Put Thibodeau on that team and take away the obscene injury stretch, and I'm pretty sure the Bulls make up those 6 games
  24. why are you talking aobut [expletive] that happened several years ago to a completely different roster? this isn't your best thread
  25. Maybe at winning regular season games. If there's one thing this current Bulls team has proven, it's that it's a postseason juggernaut. How many playoff games are the Mo Williams and Anderson Varejao led Cavaliers capable of winning? You realize that's the apples to apples comparison here. I don't know, not a lot. Just like the Bulls. It just seems odd to go with the "way to not win the title Cavs" argument, when you're dealing with a roster that has a combined 1 playoff series win 4 seasons ago. And without LeBron, the Cavs probably wouldn't even have any playoff appearances in the last 4 years
