It's called denial. Let me know how they feel a few weeks into next year. yup. they're still in that honeymoon phase of winning the world series is dramatic fashion. once a few games are played next season and they realize what they just lost, they'll feel it.

You just said Pujols was the best player in the game and that his contract was not a surprise. And I would not want the Cubs spending that. And how are they bad contracts? They're trying to win and win for a long time. i honestly don't even know what you're trying to say with this post. i never said the contract was good. i said it was bad. how was soriano's contract bad? they were trying to win and win for a long time!

Why the Rangers hate? not really sure. it's probably irrational, but something about that team annoys me. it didn't help when they blew the world series against the cardinals.

There's a number of people who are kinda silly about honor and legacy and all that, but it's hard for them to get worked up over 10/250 when all the talk had been anchored near 200 million thus far. well i can understand not being upset that they didn't give him 250 million to stay, but the way they're attempting to act as if it's no big deal is pretty funny. a lot of "i'm not too upset" comments and stuff like that.

wait, does anybody remember that creepy little cards fan who used to post vids of himself raging on youtube a few years ago? the kid who went on a rant about aaron miles signing with the cubs. i completely forgot about that kid, and now i really want to see if he's still around.

Horrible seems too far, but it certainly isn't good. A tick below what ARod got, and he plays a less taxing position without DH competition. he also plays a way less valuable position and arod's contract is pretty [expletive] brutal

am i the only one who wants prince over pujols? a ryan howard type contract for fielder would be excellent. 10 years and over 200 million for pujols scares the [expletive] out of me.

that's a lot of money for a 33 year old pitcher who has averaged 111 strikeouts over the last 6 seasons (all 200+ IP)
