wait, does anybody remember that creepy little cards fan who used to post vids of himself raging on youtube a few years ago? the kid who went on a rant about aaron miles signing with the cubs. i completely forgot about that kid, and now i really want to see if he's still around.
Horrible seems too far, but it certainly isn't good. A tick below what ARod got, and he plays a less taxing position without DH competition. he also plays a way less valuable position and arod's contract is pretty [expletive] brutal
Horrible seems too far, but it certainly isn't good. i guess that's true, considering they got the best hitter in baseball. still though, 250+ for a guy over 30 is terrifying. oh well, i'm sure berkman will continue to OPS 1.000 for the cardinals
am i the only one who wants prince over pujols? a ryan howard type contract for fielder would be excellent. 10 years and over 200 million for pujols scares the [expletive] out of me.
well for starters, pujols won't be universally hated in st louis if he leaves. it's not even a comparable situation at all. lebron was the hometown (kinda) kid who was supposed to be a savior to a sports city that never wins in any sport and is always miserable. then he not only left them before bringing them a title, but he completely punked them out in the process. not to mention that him leaving was essentially turning them from an elite team into an awful team. pujols isn't going to turn the cardinals into the pirates by leaving. what pujols means to st louis will never touch what lebron meant to cleveland when he was there.
I don't know. Would you want to stay in St. Louis if you could help it? Even if someone paid you a crapload of money? Considering he has a restaurant there/bunch of money invested there/has talked about how he loves St. Louis, I would think pulling a fast one on the Cardinals probably would not go over very well for his legacy there. Probably be as big of a blow to St. Louis as Lebron was to Cleveland. not even close
Probably because: - he's a OF who can play all three spots (but isn't the best CF out there) - who doesn't have much power - around the same age - offensive value is heavily tied to batting average i don't know., the disparity between the walk rate of the 2 players just makes it hard for me to consider them alike.
