  1. kimbrel blew the save that allowed the cardinals into the playoffs. [expletive] that guy.
  2. i read an article a few weeks ago about how he wanted to play in LA forever and how much he loves it there, so i don't think we would have had a chance anyways.
  3. yea and both those were considered awesome. 4-2 would be amazing, buti don't think you need 8 points for it to be successful. they just need to get through it without doing any damage. 3-3 would put them at 14-7-3 with the circus trip outta the way. i'd take that.
  4. ok, circus trip predictions time @ Vancouver @ Calgary @ Edmonton @ San Jose @ Anaheim @ LA how many points should we be looking for here? i'd be satisfied with 6-7 i think. even the worst teams they'll face (calgary and anaheim) aren't awful. 3-3 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. 3-2-1 or 4-2 would be great.
  5. we all know how theo feels about leaks, so none of these reporters know a [expletive] thing. they're guessing based on who THEY thought did the best with the press.
  6. considering this is a manager hiring and not a free agent player, i don't see how anybody in the media could possibly know what theo & co are thinking. in other words, he's guessing (and it's a pretty bad guess)
  7. "i know it was sandusky because he was definitely trying to check out my weiner"
  8. hossa is a monster so far. already a +11 on the season. i also just noticed he's +155 for his career. that's pretty impressive.
  9. i'd say the cubs' chances of getting hamels next offseason just got a lot more realistic. in 2013, the phils will have 92.5m tied up in halladay, lee, papelbon, howard, and utley. add hamels to that and you're talking about something like 110 million for 6 players. oh, and howard's salary jumps from 20m to 25 after 2013. if howard and utley don't bounce back (and even if they do), how the hell are they going to score runs? even if they trade halladay next offseason to clear up space for hamels, can they really afford to give another 100+ million dollar contract to a pitcher?
  10. this story is hilarious on a number of levels http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7217076/former-nba-center-shawn-bradley-stolen-custom-bicycle-found
  11. i still wish the cubs would bring back a hat with this logo- http://logoinspirations.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Chicago-Cubs-ALT.jpg
  12. you know what the worst part is? the lack of respect. well, the rape is the worst part. but the lack of respect is the second worst part.
  13. : ( http://deadspin.com/5858278/joe-posnanski-becomes-an-unlikely-paterno-apologist geez
  14. they're getting david kelton and francis beltran
  15. let's get ice-t to investigate this.
  16. wow 4/44 for madson is bad even when you don't consider the phillies situation. when you take into account lee/howard and the looming halladay/hamels decisions, it's mind boggling.
  17. Strikeouts don't matter didn't you get the memo that's an incredibly obnoxious comment, and you know it. the "strikeouts don't matter that much" argument is made in refernece to how the strikeouts actually affect the game. when determining how a player is likely to perform in future situations, strikeouts are very important. I thought a guy with a .900 OPS and 150 Ks is equally as valuable as a guy with a .900 OPS and 50 Ks. Do I have that wrong? did you even read my post? are you intentionally pretending not to understand, or are you seriously failing to grasp this simple premise?
  18. mark teixeira can't even ops .850 as a switch hitter in [expletive] yankee stadium. yeah, awesome contract.

  20. what is wrong with ramirez's disposition? compared to most athletes who performed at a level as high as him, he was ridiculously humble. he never complained. he never casued any problems in the clubhouse. he never ever gave the media a chance to force some kind of controversy on him. ramirez's disposition was fantastic. he kept his mouth shut, produced, and never caused problems. i'd say he was a model team member.
  21. Career K% Howard- 27.4 Fielder- 18.5 this argument is laughable
  22. Spoken like a guy who has added nothing to the discussion. The [expletive]? Is this the same guy jumping between accounts? well, that puts this argument to rest. NEXT.
