    i give them credit for the 95 wins and having a great season, but i don't really think that roster deserves to win a world series, and it would be annoying to see them do it People still won't face the fact the Brewers are good i've been like the leader of the "actually, the brewers are good" brigade for like 5 months

    duke and cubswin11 were never wrong about their outlook. the arguments stemmed from their unwillingness to remotely consider the possibility of the brewers finishing ahead of the cubs, then gloating about how wrong the haters were every time the cubs won like 3 in a row. yeah we can say the roster assembled by the brewers didn't deserve to win 95 games, but it doesn't really matter now. the division is over. for this season, we are owned.

    The Brewers #1 starter missed the entire season. Their #3 starter missed over half of the season, their #5 starter missed over half of the season, their #6 starter missed over half of the season, their #7 starter missed over half of the season. Their closer missed a big chunk of the season. 5 of their top 7 bullpen arms were on the DL at some point. Their entire OF spent time on the DL. Their SS had the worst season of anyone I remember in recent history. Their top 3 catchers all missed significant parts of the season. At one point the Brewers had 16 players on the DL which led to them losing 7 of 8 games right before the break. The Cubs do not stand out as a team that had it particularly hard overall this season, teams suffer all kinds of setbacks. oh brother. nobody cares about all the scrubs on the brewers that got hurt.

    well it's more about last offseason than anything. assuming they don't go deep in the playoffs (which they still could), people are going to pin that entirely on theo for the darvish and chatwood moves. i'm not saying it's fair, but he's going to have to answer for that. also, the fact that multiple young hitters horsefeathers the bed is going to have people worrying.

    I’ll never forgive the Cards for not winning one game in that series. I'll never forgive the Cubs for losing both of their last two series against the Brewers. right. i'm sick of this forming narrative that this blown division is just because the brewers got hot and the poor cubs didn't have enough off days.
