    they only need to tie through 162 to force a playoff game for the division though I thought they would only do the play-in game if it made the difference between October or going home early. If the Cubs and Brewers finish tied one of them would almost certainly have the wild card so I think they'd decide the division based on head-to-head record, right? I thought this was the case, but it's not. they still play a one game playoff for the division even if the second place team is in a wc spot.

    the best part about losing the division to the brewers is that their fans will spend all offseason talking about how it doesn't matter how many more games the cubs are projected to win in 2019 (because they were this season too), and even though it's flawed thinking, they will still be able to own us with it. like, imagine how annoying the brewers have been over the last 2 seasons, and then imagine what it will be like if they actually finish ahead of us.

    No, we don’t. i guess you could argue how definitive "gotta" is, but winning the series is way more important now than it looked like it was going to be a few days ago. merely avoiding a sweep isn't as acceptable as it was before. the difference between losing/winning 2 of 3 is pretty huge.

I was looking at their lineup today...........and I honestly really don't know how they are going to score enough runs to do it. The VBs will score some off MadBum. probably the same way crappy teams win every day
