  1. One phenominal season as a 22 yr. old and 6 other seasons with a line of .269/24 HRs/70 RBI/ 2.9 WAR makes for a solid everyday OF, but not a generational talent in my book. As I said before, he's young enough to add to his legacy, but right now his season as a 22 yr. old looks like an outlier. A lot of potential, a ton of hype, and a whole lotta money. you forgetting about his 2017 where he went .319/.413/.595? he has a career .900 OPS, and that's with a bunch of plate appearances as a teenager weighing it down
  2. yeah the only question for me is how much the defense will hurt him. offensively he is as close to a sure thing that you can get.
  3. Yankees Red Sox Astros Dodgers Brewers Braves i just realize one of these teams is going to win the world series. the season is guaranteed to end disgustingly
  4. watching andrew miller suck in the playoffs really makes me appreciate the fact that the cubs capitalized on their chance
  5. nashville and tb are probably the 2 best teams
  6. head injuries are wild, man. he's practicing now, so i guess he's "healthy". i think the they're targeting the 18th for his return, unless somebody bumps into him or something.
  7. i think they can still make the playoffs if crawford somehow stays healthy
  8. wade miley pitching a shutout in Coors love this season
  9. so the constitution i bought isn't real?
  10. after all those lindor/baez debates, it's so weird watching them in their mid 20's and have both of them actually be great. it's also crazy that baez was an animal this year, and his value still wasn't even close to lindor's.
  11. seems like a pretty silly complaint considering the rockies eliminated us 3 days ago
  12. i agree, but didn't you love starlin long after those allegations? even when he sucked, i seem to remember everyone on here thinking he was fun and likable or whatever
  13. a little late on this, but how was cam ward the best they could do as a fill in for crawford? he has been so bad for so long.
  14. the teams i've been rooting for this week continue to do absolutely nothing offensively. not even interesting to watch.
  15. the brewers rotation is such a sham that they're doing a bullpen game for the very first game of the postseason
  16. he flatly said harper would have been the best player on the cubs this season, and then you said harper was better at "everything but BA, SLG, and defense", which is an incredibly pointless statement. i ask again, da fuq are you guys talking about? I was answering your question on “how was he better than Baez” with my response and only assuming that was the intent of the original comment. But Raw will have to answer for what he meant or how he wants to back it up. I don’t necessarily agree with it either. harper's defense was a big part of my question, so it would have been weird for him to just compare them offensively in the first place
  17. he didn't say harper was better offensively, he just said that he would have been the best player on the cubs this season. he obviously was not a better player than baez this season. da fuq are you guys talking about Javy had the better year on a whole. I’m not arguing that. I was just saying Harper did a lot of things better offensively and was assuming that’s more what was meant. he flatly said harper would have been the best player on the cubs this season, and then you said harper was better at "everything but BA, SLG, and defense", which is an incredibly pointless statement. i ask again, da fuq are you guys talking about?
  18. it's a question about how much he's worth and what the cubs should give him. but how was he better than baez this season? The smartass answer is he’s worth whatever the market says but somewhere around ~$35 aav for 8-12 years seems right. He was better than Javy at everything but BA, SLG and defense. he didn't say harper was better offensively, he just said that he would have been the best player on the cubs this season. he obviously was not a better player than baez this season. da fuq are you guys talking about
  19. it's a question about how much he's worth and what the cubs should give him. but how was he better than baez this season? He's 25. He's worth whatever a team can afford. OPS seems like a simple way Harper > Baez this year. come on man
  20. That he's really good. And his "down" year would have still made him the best player on a Cubs team that has a top 3 MVP candidate? it's a question about how much he's worth and what the cubs should give him. but how was he better than baez this season?
  21. theo always knows what to say to say to make me feel confident
