  1. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that this post wont age well. in the same way a fart doesn't age well
  2. the blues loss tonight made me realize that the only time the Q era hawks blew a series lead was in 2014 against the kings, and it was only a 1-0 series lead. aside from all the winning, they really kept the heartbreaks to a minimum for a team that was perennially expected to go deep in the playoffs
  3. going to be a pretty brutal monday for st. louis sports fans
  4. i want to like it, but this burn doesn't quite add up
  5. that's gotta hurt
  6. gs will still win
  7. da cube is still cleaner looking
  8. Oh no, but I've missed you! i would be terrified wearing earrings like that
  9. 1 year, 13 million. insane
  10. the bruins have dominated this game
  11. we got right handed chapman (in terms of numbers) for under 50 mil on top is kimbrel, on the bottom is chapman
  12. all that stuff and all the jewelry and all the stuff
  13. Yeah seriously, our OF is desperate for guys who can put up an .830-.850 OPS if he's capable of playing lf, i would love that over trading him. i just assumed they don't see it as a real option since they kind of abandoned it.
  14. i didn't imply the cubs couldn't come back from 5-6 games back You’re ranting about how they might not be able to do it just because past teams did it. This team did it. If they find themselves 5-6 back again they may or may not come back, but they certainly can, because they already did in April and it has nothing to do with past years. you're interpreting the things i said based on the way he responded to them. i said they're going to fall 5-6 games back. he immediately jumped to talking about how that's no big deal because what's happened in the past. then i pointed out that having done it in the past doesn't mean it's something that will be easily repeated, or that can be counted on. i didn't imply anything more about a 5 game deficit than the obvious, which is that it would suck and make the job in the second half more difficult.
  15. I didn't say it was insurmountable. You implied that it would be no big deal because past teams did it, and I pointed out the problem with that thinking. This is after you moved the goal posts from when you previously said the brewers schedule didnt matter and that they wouldnt pull ahead of the cubs. I get it, I whine in game threads a lot. but right now the organization really isnt in a very good spot going forward, so maybe you should accept that. I understand that we should be thankful for what the Cubs have done in the last 5 years, but the actions of the organization in the last couple years dont warrant your defense. they should be criticized heavily for what they're doing. They did it in April. i didn't imply the cubs couldn't come back from 5-6 games back
  16. Yeah I’m sure those 300 PAs last year are more indicative of his ability than the other 1200 PAs where he was a very good hitter. i meant until it falls back to where it did, or worse. i like willson. this isn't a me bitching about the cubs thing. i'm saying that if he falls back to his .830 ops self, his value is kind of unspectacular, but i get the sense that his value around the league would be more than that. i just think he's more of an .800-850 ops guy with bad overall defense. add in the wear and tear of catching, and i think it's a great opportunity to sell high. also, his biggest flaw (framing) is likely to hurt us more than most other teams, since we have such poor control. i think i actually make a post during the offseason about trading him if he bounced back offensively. it's not reactionary.
  17. trade him before his offense falls off a cliff again. if there's any truth at all to the pitch framing stuff, then hes a bad fit for this staff.
  18. dont worry, theo is already working on new urgency slogans for next march
  19. even you know your heart isnt behind this post this team is a shell of what they used to be. expecting anything based on what they've done in previous years is pointless. they are not those teams, and we all knew it going into the season. they're a slightly above average team. You want this team to fail. I get it. You wanted the same thing last year also. I do believe in this team and think they’re going through a rough stretch. Does that mean they will be fine? Of course not. But yes, I do think they’re a good team. Regardless of what I think about them, you implying a 5-6 game deficit to the Brewers is insurmountable is absurd. I didn't say it was insurmountable. You implied that it would be no big deal because past teams did it, and I pointed out the problem with that thinking. 21. holy horsefeathers, the brewers are going to be up 5-6 games by the break with their schedule
