  1. you think a staff being 36% black has a lack of representation? I'm saying that Kyle can help solve the problem by giving more non-white coaches a chance to work their way up the coaching ranks. And yes, I think 36% is a lack of representation when more than 36% of the players are black. i didn't realize the nfl player base was like 70% black. but that coaching staff still doesn't necessarily look like a problem to me.
  2. what? He's asking how there are only 4 black head coaches in the league. Most head coaches work their way through the coaching ranks under other head coaches, and Shanahan only has 8 black assistant coaches on his staff. My point is that he can help by giving more non-white candidates opportunities on his own staff you think a staff being 36% black has a lack of representation?
  3. what?
  4. hawks are back in the playoffs
  5. 2005 was still 480p, wasn't it? i always wonder how today's stuff will look decades from now. we're already getting diminishing returns from resolution,so i wonder what kind of technology will advance the way home displays look.i guess hdr on sports would be a good start.
  6. I just realized they didnt show rodman kicking the photographer. that was a big story at the time.
  7. hawks would have the 12th seed
  8. It was both a "Jordan is the GOAT!!!" piece AND a "did you know what a giant dick Jordan was???" at the same time not really. the stuff in there that made him look dickish was mild and likely undersold how bad it really was. plus it was always followed by him doing something awesome on the court to immediately make it seem justified. they put the bare minimum of negative stuff in there. just enough to be able to say they covered it all
  9. it was a 10 hour suckfest of michael. i don't know how anyone can deny that. but that's okay. they never really marketed it as some cutting documentary about the morality of being a bad person to win. the 90s bulls were an awesome thing that a lot of people remember fondly, and it was fun watching it all play out with triumphant music playing in the background, especially during a time when we have no other sports to watch.
  10. it is incredible to me that the cubs world series happened less than 4 years ago
  11. it's funny how they spent all that time on kerr, but still kind of undersold his game a little bit. he wasn't a complete scrub like rudy or something, he had a truly elite skill. he shot .454 career from three. like yeah he was a role player, but they didn't even mention how lights out he was as a shooter.
  12. i still knew they were going to lose
  13. i completely forgot about ho grant being hoisted up after beating the bulls. 11 year old me was irate
  14. i hope they show wennington's dunk in the double nickel game tonight
  15. Not a single player nor reporter has corroborated this.
  16. as a kid, that was the only of the 6 title seasons where i actually remember thinking they were going to lose
  17. they didn't spend enough time on the knicks series. they literally didn't even mention that they had played a 7 game series against each other the prior year. in general i also wish they would show more actual basketball stuff, especially since we know the non-basketball stuff will be watered down.
  18. swept by the dodgers, fml
  19. it's funny to think that the blackhawks might play postseason games this year
  20. i never said i didn't want to it to happen. i'll take whatever half assed sports leagues i can get right now. i'm saying it from the perspective of the players and the people running the league. i'd rather cancel the season than award some watered down championship that is always remembered as the corona cup or whatever. That’s all fine. But there’s plenty (and I include myself in this) that would be fine with sports back in some capacity for entertainment and distraction if it can be pulled off safely and don’t really care what it means historically with championships or W/L records. i said that too
  21. i never said i didn't want to it to happen. i'll take whatever half assed sports leagues i can get right now. i'm saying it from the perspective of the players and the people running the league. i'd rather cancel the season than award some watered down championship that is always remembered as the corona cup or whatever. I think the people running the league care most about making as much money as possible. yeah i forgot about that
  22. because it would be lame as hell celebrating championships in empty arenas It would definitely be different but tons of people would still watch and get enjoyment out of it and a distraction from everything going on. Just seems like it’s impossible to do anything with fans and anything more than essential personnel in arenas/stadiums if we want sports back anytime soon. If they can do it safely I’m all for it, it being different and weird be damned. i never said i didn't want to it to happen. i'll take whatever half assed sports leagues i can get right now. i'm saying it from the perspective of the players and the people running the league. i'd rather cancel the season than award some watered down championship that is always remembered as the corona cup or whatever.
