    i feel like the blackhawks backlash has been pretty quiet compared to the Redskins, Indians, Chief Illiniwek etc. is there a reason for that? other than hockey just not being as popular as the other sports? or is there pushback that i just haven't seen? Well one is literally a racial slur so, while certainly insensitive, I'm not sure Illini and Blackhawks belong in the same sentence

    yes. It's kind of embarrassing. I don't usually go with this media member hates my favorite team take, but he sure seems to dislike the Cubs for some reason. I haven't noticed that with him. He's just the guy who tweets a minor scoop and then covers his ass completely before the 140 characters are up

    It is way different. But for years, it was a lot less likely that in order to get a guy for the bullpen, you had to give him a multi-year deal. I think now that you do, it makes sense to grab the guy you really like and hope you start your window in year 2 or 3 of his deal.
