  1. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/10/26/16551210/2017-world-series-dodgers-astros-game-2 I mean, unless "recent memory" means "the last 2 WS games." I agree with you in a vacuum, but this is pretty compelling support for his case:
  2. Well this is fun. Also I think Correa is my favorite non-Cub player
  3. Now he REALLY looks like a racist He should keep it off, so we remember who we're dealing with
  4. Russell has got to be the most untouchable player on this team not named Bryzzo Willy. Not even close. You're right. Let's re-visit after Russell puts up a 6 WAR monster season next year
  5. those 2 would surprise me the least, especially Schwarber Russell has got to be the most untouchable player on this team not named Bryzzo
  6. I'd say you can judge approach right? So, P/PA is about the only tangible metric you can point to, and we've been exceptional there over the last 3 years
  7. Good gracious. Setting aside the terribly unfocused narrative here, he mentions trading 1) Russell at all and 2) Baez OR Russell as if the two were interchangeable, almost ancillary parts of this team. Cameron beings the quality of the Fangraphs staff down a huge amount on his own
  8. I refute you. The word "refute", Mr Einstein, means you bring up facts that contradict whatever the other person posted. Since you didn't give any good reason why Schwarber should have started, you didn't refute me-you just posted condescending BS. You don't get to troll the board and then get mad when people treat you like a troll
  9. There were people trying to SELL tickets outside the park 30 minutes before game time last night. It was totally weird. Oh and I was in the bleachers 12 rows up and there were two full empty rows in front of me until the fourth. The Score was urging people to show up earlier tonight because apparently the entrances got congested, was there added security or something? They had the K9 unit out but it wasn't really slowing anything down. Lines were longer and traffic was terrible, though
  10. How the hell? Tickets for Game 3 of the NLCS are going for under face value There were people trying to SELL tickets outside the park 30 minutes before game time last night. It was totally weird. Oh and I was in the bleachers 12 rows up and there were two full empty rows in front of me until the fourth.
  11. I really like the matchups in the midwest division
  12. I find I really enjoy Puig when he's playing anyone but us. He was pretty annoying last night
  13. Best playoff games I've seen in person because I'm an horsefeathers like that 2016 NLCS Game 6 - Everyone in the stadium knew the game was over by the 4th and so it was literally just a celebration for 5 innings. After the game, we snuck down behind the dugout and got a selfie with Contreras. 2016 WS Game 5 - This game was way more enjoyable than it should have been, considering how close it stayed. Everyone just seemed to be extremely confident we weren't going home that day. I've since re-watched and I was more for that than I remember being that day. 2016 NLCS Game 1 - Miggy's homer was the most electrifying moment of my entire 31 years. I thought the stadium was going to crumble under us. 2017 NLDS Game 3 - It was an absolutely beautiful day for baseball in mid-October, and my first playoff game in the bleachers. Almora's RBI single was frickin awesome, but I had no idea about Rizzo's RESPECT ME until the next day. 2016 NLDS Game 1 - This was an INCREDIBLY tense game. It was a really well-played one, and Javy's homer was so, so great but I was sure we were going to lose it up until then.
  14. I couldn't believe Joe put CJ in that game. The man needs about 3 days to get his mind right
  15. Pulling Lester with 2 outs and a runner on first, not pulling Carl until 2 batters after it was clear he was bad Carl, letting his closer pitch to 2 extra batters in a 5 run game with Game 5 in 24 hours Could it be we are witnessing a really great manager in the Regular Season and a very average one in Postseason play? It could not.
