  1. Good. He'll be cheaper in a trade with Dusty at the helm, anyway.
  2. # of foul balls with 2 strikes? I'm looking for that "pest" factor. I wish we could quantify # of starts over a better, younger, player. Difficult to do though. How about a calculation for reverse VORP? The gritty player in question is assumed as an average replacement-level player and his rVORP would be the inverse of the VORP of the more talented, higher-ceilinged player he's blocking. I would also consider introducing "loss-shares." Thoughts?
  3. Ugh. Please not the Red Sox
  4. =D> did he actually say that?! Wow. What a... well, what a DBag. I really loved how he actually came out and said that they outplayed the Rockies, but were victimized by bad luck. I must say, my world was turned upside down when I heard about their bad soap-droppin' luck.
  5. No, but I believe you. But, I think Juan "4-3" Pierre might get on base at a better clip...
  6. Morales is a real talent. Triple digits from the left side of the mound and a great breaking ball. He looked as good as anybody at the futures game this year.
  7. Although I am rooting for the Rockies (and every other team against the D-Backs), it made me feel a little better to see them make Livan Hernandez look good. At least for 5 and two-thirds. That said, I hope they rip apart the guy on the mound tonight who also happens to be their best hitter.
