  1. Yup, so the NL has the advantage the first 3 innings. I'm just worried about a close game in the 8th inning having to deal with Ryan Ludwick and Nate McClouth hitting. Good point but I have to think Jeter will be allowed to suck for at least four, possibly five innings
  2. When has she ever dressed slutty? (pics please)
  3. Word. VORP is nice, but can be off-putting at times.
  4. Not even close. At this point, the city of Milwaukee has been rallying (I'm serious) to get Brewer fans to the Cubs games to keep us out. I've gone to Cubs games there each of the last four years and last year there was a significant increase in Brewer fans (it was NEVER close to 50/50) and the atmosphere is more militant. Now it seems that they care more about keeping us out/seeing us lose than we care to get there. Reminds me of another one-sided rivalry involving the Cubs... Oh, and most importantly, Milwaukee is really good at home and are starting to sell out more games now that Sabathia is in town. Those games aren't gonna be easy but they're gonna be a helluva lot of fun
  5. Formula's are well and good, as are explanations of what the stats mean, but what's the reasoning behind that formula? To objectively judge a player's offensive production independent of team stats.
  6. The NL lineup is so much better than the AL's it's kind of ridiculous. My favorite is the middle infield comparison. Gotta love the idiots who thought Jeter and Pedroia would be the best guys to start opposite Hanley and Utley. Awesome.
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equivalent_average
  8. Or had absolutely no control over whether they kept them or not
  9. Plus look at the pitching staff with Lincecum at the number two spot and Markakis patrolling CF!
  10. Meh k's are nice but leading the league in them indicates low pitch efficiency. I'm much happier that we're cutting down on our walks allowed than that we're striking guys out at a league-leading pace.
  11. Refer to Raw's post about IsoP. Greene's OBP sucks because his AVG sucks and his AVG sucks because he's a flyball hitter in Petco. He's had some good and bad years in terms of IsoD. The case can be made that Greene should be a better hitter for another team. The case can also be made that he is what he is, a guy who will hit for above average power but struggle to keep his OBP above .320. Ok, now I think we're on the same page. I'm not sure I want him as anything more than a backup. Might be better off with Cedeno if that's the case
  12. You shut your mouth with your logic and level-headedness. The sky is obviously falling.
  13. Sweet!!! Kruk, Morgan, and Berman agree with me. I picked him too. I feel for you
  14. Chase Utley is awesome. On a more negative note, has there ever been a worse broadcasting team than the one ESPN is trotting out tonight?
  15. Refer to Raw's post about IsoP. Greene's OBP sucks because his AVG sucks and his AVG sucks because he's a flyball hitter in Petco.
  16. Just say no to using errors to evaluate a player's fielding
  17. Utley... It makes no sense to pick a RH Also, I've never been so excited for a HR derby. Lots of unknowns to the casual baseball fan, so it feels like it's all guys I've personally discovered. I can't wait to see Hamilton live, and I might even root for Braun a little bit. Can't wait
  18. Meh Sabathia threw 122 yesterday
  19. "Who's Now" reached epic levels of stupidity that may never be equaled
