  1. Nice outing by Wells so far at least...
  2. Eh, they resemble a beer league softball team right now anyways....sans the ability to score multiple runs
  3. Your optimism is commendable....seriously
  4. Geo the next in line to be stranded
  5. Yet another wasted lead-off double
  6. Pleasantly surprised more runs weren't scored...
  7. According to Plesac, Carlos Lee is playing 1B for us tonight
  8. But we get the Cubs in "HD" once a month on WGN already!!! Come one boys...a series win would be awesome, but as bad as you've looked lately, I'll take a split
  9. Yeah I mean it's been, what, 9-10 months now since we had an All-Star we drafted/developed? Yeah, I know...how quickly I forget, but Geo has me worried that he is merely a flash in the pan..though he has shown signs of life lately. I'm hoping Vitters ends up being the real deal is all I'm trying to say. Jury is still out on Geo; hope my fears end up being unfounded
  10. Hah!! Macha will probably file a grievance in any event....
  11. Man I hope he pans out (assuming he isn't traded). It would be nice for a change to see a home-grown position player be "All Star caliber."
  12. I think removing Marshall from the rotation is stupid, but if it means getting rid of Cotts, so be it. I mean, just b/c Marshall goes to the 'pen doesn't mean he'll have to stay there. I'll take the chance Hendry gets a Loogy & Marshall starts again soon
  13. For the love of whatever supreme being one cares to acknowledge, please find a way to not get swept by the Pirates...
  14. I wanna believe the Cubs can wine one, but..... Lilly will be the next tough luck loser. Need to get back to Wrigley & get some home cookin'
  15. I think we should just blame it on Aaron Miles & call it a day /thread
  16. Stuff awesome; control in the 1st not so much (but that was kinda to be expected coming off the DL)
  17. At least Miles is seeing some pitches....best attempt at a compliment I can give him
  18. Wow Z....way to settle in. Now we need some extreme luck to score some runs off Peavy
  19. Scoring 2 runs in 3 games wasn't a wake-up call? I don't see any added benefit to getting no-hit. Yeah, it might be more demoralizing than anything else
  20. Definitely. I'm so relieved to see that he seems to have adjusted to the league.
  21. I really wish Miles would have taken a plane back to St. Louis. I don't blame Aaron at all. Jim's the ftard that signed him. Did he lose a bet? Na he was like, we won way too many games last year. Who are the two worst available big leaguers? Boom, Aaron Miles and Joey Gathright. If the Cubs got a special dispensation & could choose between keeping Miles for the duration of his contract, or dropping him at the cost of only being allowed a 24-man roster...it's be at least a little tempting
