  1. I would have kinda loved to see chapman in this spot instead of wood.
  2. How the horsefeathers has hunter pence had good at bats in this series
  3. Should I create a new account to turn into rondon fan or can I just do it here
  4. Oh good, I was hoping to see Derek lows donkey face
  5. Two brothers atom smasher. That's a metaphor for either what the Cubs are about to do or what is going to happen in my apartment afterwards.
  6. Why? You should want it to go 5. That eliminates seeing neither of Scherzer or Kershaw 3 times. Scherzer doesn't scare me. Scherzer going twice on short rest scares me even less.
  7. 4 home runs in 144 PAs from the right side (1 per 36 PAs) 9 home runs in 407 PAs from the left side (1 per 45 PAs) 876 OPS from the right side, 827 OPS from the left side.
  8. I know Contreras grades out as a plus defensive catcher, but I still think you'd prefer Ross back there on the defensive side, after you factor in pitch calling, framing, the intangibles, etc. That makes the choice a little more of a wash in terms of who to start, and then you consider Contreras has a pretty significant advantage over Ross when it comes to pinch hitting, and I'm good with it. I think if we need offense Joe won't hesitate to put in Soler early, either if Lackey has a short outing or if he wants to pull Heyward.
  9. Yeah that was ugly. Monty again until someone gets on. Top of the order coming up for us.
  10. Do you even consider Ross here? LaStella to the infield, Bryant to the outfield.
  11. What do you do though? Give them the afternoon game and have nothing going in prime time? Or have both games going up against each other? Either way, you're going to have the people paying them pretty pissed off.
  12. Tim...definitely appreciate you doing everything you can to keep this up and running. Seems like it's been a tough night. Thank you very much!
  13. Coghlan/Fowler/Almora doesn't exactly give me a ton of 'throw the winning run out at home' confidence.
  14. Bottom of their lineup is a joke, Rizzo/Almora/LaStella will take care of this.
  15. If we score without getting to the pitcher's spot, no, leave in Monty until he gets in trouble. Otherwise, you probably have to pinch hit for him and go to Edwards.
