  1. Yeah I need that in an instantly available form immediately.
  2. I am very much interested in this hypothetical version of our bullpen where we have 11 outs worth of dudes you guys all feel totally comfortable using and it’s fine just using those dudes every night.
  3. Such good at bats by happ, Cody, and Dansby. And a bunch of others, obviously, but those are the guys we need.
  4. Granted, have to get six more outs with a pretty decimated bullpen. But, yes, a road series split against an over 500 team fighting for their lives.
  5. Feeling pretty good, for whoever weirdly asked earlier
  6. Alright fine came in a little hot. Still think we all would have happily taken a split going into yesterday.
  7. Like the original comment was talking about how adbert had blown two straight games when the first one of those games was a game where he was the winning pitcher. He got called in with the bases loaded and hit a dude. And then pitched a scoreless ninth to win. But yeah, let’s phrase it ‘he’s blown two straight saves’.
  8. My frustration is more that the complaints are like ‘oh this dude is terrible’ or ‘eff this dude who has been completely reliable all year’ rather than like ‘man, baseball can be really dumb’. This is a super likeable team that has outperformed pretty much every expectation. And at any sign of trouble it’s just this complete doom. Game one of the braves series, the Mets series, the royals series, the brewers series. Give them some credit.
  9. Lol I’m too drunk for how completely miserable this thread is. A team projected for 500 comfortably maintains its playoff spot and takes away two more games for a chasing team to make up ground. Let’s all be super angry about it.
  10. Hey, pretty good split for a road DH against an over 500 team with a pitching combination of ‘dude making his second start ever’ and ‘I don’t know, all our worst pitchers in a random order’.
  11. Pumped for you guys to have a new dude to complain about now that happ is good again.
  12. This is an amazing take for a tied game two of a road doubleheader where we won the first game and are going with a bullpen game for the second one. We literally won a big game like, 4 hours ago.
  13. Yeah Happ timing his hot streak for 4 games in Cincy is about all you can for.
  14. Don’t have a specific name in mind, but kinda wish they would have delayed the Canario call up until after todays DH and brought up another pitcher in the event wicks or Greene needs to get pulled early. Wicks ended up with an incredible start but it was pretty close to a disaster in the first. Can’t give him an endless leash given his long term importance and the importance of these games, but really don’t want to need like 12 innings from the bullpen today with two more games still left in the series and no day off in sight.
  15. This is by far the most important part of the decision. The more boring baseball part of the decision is there's a mutual option for next year at $12m with a $4m buyout, so that ups the price on getting a month of pitching out of him quite a bit, either in terms of the buyout or in terms of committing to, as mentioned, an abusive shitbag for another year
  16. Cody channel your old swing just this once. Go find a 100 mph fastball and put it in the basket.
  17. Yes and no. Cody is a better hitter, so I generally agree. But like, the job that Cody got done today was only an option because of Happs double.
