  1. Nah, it was worth it. 15 teams in baseball don't even stick around long enough to get a gut punch, 14 teams get one at some point in late September/October. That Labor Day game was incredible, the Giants series was great, Morel against the Sox, that stretch where it seemed like Azlolay was closing out every game and tweeting from the mound. A ****** couple weeks, and you couldn't have scheduled them much worse, but doesn't cancel out how fun the summer was.
  2. Yeah personnel wise, I can’t really think of a decision made that yielded good results, besides fixing their own mistakes with their early season cuts and I guess Wicks. One good week of Jeimer and that’s about it.
  3. Only real hope in terms of the Braves starters is that between Acuna hitting 40/70 and the Braves clinching home field at least through the NLCS, maybe they all decided to go out and celebrate and were given the day off. Lovely that this is where we're at.
  4. I know people are going to pin that one quote on Ross until opening day next year, but the fact is that Jordan Wicks has gotten plenty of run here, Luke Little didn't really show much in his chances (and really, would that have been the difference), and the offense has been fine (4th in offensive fWAR in September) and Canario and PCA have combined for one good swing and a whole lot of crap play this month.
  5. Guys, all these dudes who you have issues with Ross using....they're, at best, marginal major leaguers. Here's the problem, the other options suck at least as much, if not worse. It's not a full major league roster. Needed a full go approach to a playoff run or a lot better health luck.
  6. It's either a good team that has been mismanaged, or an awful team that Ross got a 500+ record for the year. Probably can't be both. Or its just an average team with an average manager that was constructed to kinda give a half measure of a shot this year and it came back to bite them.
  7. I can't even really comprehend how much fun it would be to have Acuna on your team.
  8. 53 year old Jesse Chavez coming off the 60 day DL a week ago to give them a reliever with a 1.42 ERA in 30+ innings this year. Yeah why not
  9. Yeah, up comes their 7 hitter, just a solid defensive catcher with 20+ bombs and an .847 OPS. Just relentless
  10. Why is this some guaranteed stolen base from a guy with 20 on the year? Whatever, we got out of it. Ross is going to pinch hit Stroman for PCA if it gets to him.
  11. The braves we're playing right now are magnitudes better than a brewers team with everything to play for, much less a brewers team trying to set up their rotation for next week. It's doable if we have anything else.
  12. A spark for what? Adbert will see a sweet catch and his arm will magically heal?
  13. lol sure, what else do i have to do tonight
  14. Went for the hero play in center and missed a diving catch by about 4 feet, ball got past him and the guy ended up on second.
  15. we're going to scrape out 2 wins in the next four games and somehow get in based on the marlins being bad and choking, but still. this is horsefeathers brutal
  16. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha its Cuas of course its horsefeathers cuas
  17. Lol my god PCA, just when I thought you couldn't do anything else wrong
  18. Nice, cool, wife beater and drunk driver Ozuna. Fun stuff.
  19. Lol they look so relieved to be catching basic pop ups
  20. Miles needed to do something there. Kinda inexcusable for his skill set.
