  1. God, just shut the [expletive] up already.
  2. What didn't he like? Hub is still holding a grudge against the Bears for losing his radio color job I think. He has very little positive things to ever say. Says he's having a lot of problems with his hands.
  3. He probably meant Erik Johnson, Sox #1 prospect.
  4. So Rosario has been really [expletive] bad tonight you guys. Not exactly a "a couple pitches here and there and he'd have had em sort of a situation". He's been brutal all season. He's not been good but I'd stop short of saying brutal. Either way giving up a bakers dozen was kind of an unexpected outcome 30 K/33 BB Brutal.
  5. What the HELL did the mid/late 90's Cubs starting pitchers do to piss off the gods? Jim Bullinger better watch his back. Refresh memory...
  6. The Cubs had no real plans to extend Garza unless it was well under market value, we've been over this numerous times before.
  7. FYI, we have two AA's. That is not a good abbreviation for either of them.
  8. Doesn't bother me one bit. Me either. Just why exactly is ARod so worthy of the HoF after being caught using PEDs numerous times now?
  9. Last night was my first time seeing Lake play. Stupid Iowa girlfriend lake trip.
  10. My response, "yeah, because they were so good with them". He says, "yeah they weren't good, but why trade 2 of the best players on the team". And some other dude says, "They traded Garza for 3 'prospects'. WTF! Does every year have to be a rebuilding year." So, I blocked him. (not really) but I'm not responding and that'll show him! You gotta utilize the feature of blocking someones feed but not them as a person profile. It's gold.
  11. I guess there's enough of a mix of smart over there along with the stupid that I had forgotten about/overlooked the stupid. NSBB has left me sheltered. Why is it wrong to place some value on a speed tool? It isn't, it's just that he had a really nice bunt one time and you can't count on that being a legit force of his game looking forward.
  12. Yep, I agree. This is the situation we're looking at with Soriano and it has been for a few years and I'm OK with that.
  13. Don't know the exact rules, but that's not correct. You are able to protect a number of players not on the 40 man I'm almost certain.
  14. Olt and it's not tough.
  15. BA still has Mike Olt ranked #44 in their updated midseason Top 50 prospect rankings.
  16. God, Kaplan. Just try to be intelligent, just once. I mean, there is a chance that Mike Olt will turn out to be good. Thus, Bryant would move to the OF. Even if Olt turned out to be good, it'd probably be him going to the OF. I don't necessarily see why
  17. I think he was an old rookie so less than you'd think? $42M
  18. Agree. Third guy, fine. "Advanced" guy so they can more easily justify a trade in which one of the two primary guy is in A-ball, great. But he's such a remote long-shot in my book. Jackson, Ian stewart, we're 0-2 lately on those kinds of guys. Maybe it's time to get Olt and finish the strikeout. I'd say a 2nd piece. I'm not quite sure what people are expecting at this point, but if we could get someone's equivalant of say Alcantara or Pierce Johnson plus Brett Jackson and a low level guy in the neighborhood of Yao Lin Wang or Frank Del Valle, do you take it? Nope. Come on, it will be better than that. Cubs are getting a Top 75 guy or 2 Top 125 types IMO.
  19. Because it's just not what the organization is looking to do at this time.
  20. Was it really that bad? At the game and it seemed terrible. First he's tight as hell and then he starts calling stuff outside in the late innings.
