  1. He scored at a higher rate than Wilt did in his 100 point game. I know that the Bucks had their reserves in but that stat line would be nuts in an All Star game when they’re not even trying on defense.
  2. Yeah, feels like Man City missed a chance to all but bury Liverpool, especially since it was at home and Liverpool didn't play all that well. I think it was a pretty fair result but like you said, Man City will definitely feel worse about it. A win today and they could have blown one of their 7 remaining games and still won the title.
  3. We’ll that didn’t take long to blow the lead.
  4. I'm by no means a "throw at the other team on purpose" guy. However, that culture still exists in MLB. The Brewers hit three Cubs in the game so they had to figure something might be coming. I know Thompson missed on the first pitch and that could be viewed as missing his shot so he shouldn't take a second one. But he also plunked Cutch in the hip. Not up in the head/neck area or upper back where it's close to the head. McCutchen doesn't have to be happy about it but just take your base at that point. Benches clearing over that was dumb.
  5. As for top of the table, City-Liverpool was a fun game. Liverpool has the slightly tougher run in but I don't think anyone would be surprised if either team wins out.
  6. Great week for me in the race for 4th. Spurs win twice, Arsenal loses twice, ManU picks up 1 point from two games, including losing at Everton, and West Ham loses to Brentford. There are still 3 H2H games left between the four teams (Arsenal at Spurs, ManU at Arsenal, Arsenal at West Ham) plus each team still has at least one game against the top-3 (ManU and West Ham have 2). Should be a fun last few weeks.
  7. I had the opposite reaction. I thought Cain was going to turn around all of a sudden and catch the ball. He’s done that a few times over the years.
  8. So you don't think playing El Salvador and Grenada twice each will help us prepare for England, Iran and UEFA qualifier? All of the Nation's League tournaments are dumb, albeit for different reasons. For us specifically, as you said, it's a colossal waste of time and largely doesn't help us get better as a team.
  9. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/33666138/anthony-davis-ponders-been-injury-riddled-los-angeles-lakers-lose-sixth-straight Well there's one.
  10. I’ll be interested to see if he can drive the ball straight or if he tries to hit them with too much speed and they just go all over the course.
  11. I think UNC might be my new favorite college basketball team. Ruins K’s last home game and sends him into retirement.
  12. France is the same. Their group was Denmark, Peru and Australia in 2018. This year they have Denmark, Tunisia and whoever wins the playoff between Peru and Australia.
  13. I can't wait for the inevitable "if only they were healthy all year" stories after the season ends. Nevermind that the Clippers have gotten a combined 28 games from George and Kawhi (the Lakers are at 94 games for Lebron and AD) yet they are 6.5 games better than the Lakers and are nearly locked in to the 8 seed.
  14. Mexico set up nicely for their patented Round of 16 exit. Finish 2nd in the group and get handled by France in the knockouts.
  15. Well that first game is almost a must win. Lose and you have to beat England or hope for some chaos. Win and you’re sitting pretty.
  16. We got the UEFA one.
  17. Yes! We get Iran!
  18. I don’t know why they’re even drawing from that pot in the first place.
  19. Group B is pretty enticing also with England, pending who the second team in Group A is.
  20. the arrogance of England has no bounds. I would take England out of Pot 1 outside of Qatar Yeah. I’m not sure if England would be my #2 pick but I’d say they’re somewhere in the 2-4 range after Qatar. Definitely rather have them than Brazil, Belgium, France and probably Spain.
  21. The spirit of your point remains, but Poland is in Pot 3 too. I’m less worried about 2 UEFA teams than I am of drawing Poland and/or Wales instead of the more manageable teams in those pots. Outside of Qatar there isn’t a huge difference between drawing France or drawing Brazil. If you made me pick one non-Qatar team for the group I guess it’d be Spain? So if we're worried about drawing a UEFA team in Pot 3 and/or 4, we probably want to get a UEFA team in Pot 1, right? Unless we get Qatar of course. That way at most we only get one UEFA team from Pot 3 and 4.
  22. Pulisic had a hat trick like 3 days ago... And two were penalties…
