  1. I assume Lilly looked pretty good tonight?
  2. Don't worry, his next time out he won't be able to find the plate.
  3. This has to be considered somewhat of a disappointment for Roma based on what happened during the game. Scholes gets sent of in the 34th minute and you only win by one and give up an away goal when up a man. Meanwhile, Man U should be content with what happened today in getting that crucial away goal. Yes, they still lost the match but with Scholes going out, they couldn't have realistically expected to do much better than that.
  4. There was a brawl at halftime?
  5. He did get it kind of awkwardly, but to his defense, there were no white shirts anywhere to be seen. Yeah, and he was unlucky in that it went right to Vucinic. EDIT: Cristiano Ronaldo amazes me every time I see him play. The guy is so good when he has the ball at his foot. If only he didn't have a penchant for diving.
  6. Roma regain the lead. It looked like Van der Sar should have punched the ball away better.
  7. Wow. Great run by Ronaldo to set up the equalizer for Man U. He beat a couple defenders, passed it up to Solskjaer who made a great cross to Rooney who made sure he didn't miss. Huge goal for Man U down a man on the road and it has to be demoralizing for Roma. In the other game Didier Drogba scored for Chelsea to tie the game. That guy is absolutely amazing. Every time Chelsea needs a big goal, this guy comes through for them. I almost expect him to score at this point.
  8. Murton looked horrible in game 1. I'm fine with the extra lefty bat in the line up today. Definitely rather see Jones hitting 2nd rather than Izturis. But, I'd also rather have Theriot in the 2 spot. Theriot would definitely be nice batting 2nd if Murton isn't in there.
  9. Roma goes up 1-0 courtesy of Taddei with a deflection off of Man U's Heinze. I have to say, I'm really liking Roma's attacking style. They're just relentless when the get the ball into the attacking zone and they don't let the opposing defense set up. Also, Valencia is up 1-0 on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
  10. Ew. It could be worse, Izturis could be batting second.
  11. Paul Scholes just picked up his second yellow card in just the 34th minute. Both cards were bookable offenses as they were late, clumsy challenges on his part. Should be interesting to see what Roma can do now.
  12. Stupid Dirk Nowitzki has to go and get food poisoning and doesn't even play against the Kings tonight so not only did I not have a chance to see him play in person but I couldn't interview him after the game because he wasn't in the arena. I was so disappointed about that. Oh well.
  13. I think he sacrificed his glove to get his legs back. He's been sacrificing his glove for a couple years now.
  14. I like this first pitch alot more. I was half expecting a wardrobe malfunction.
  15. Very nice. I would say we're in a bizarro world (Cardinals in last, Pirates in first) right now but for that to happen, the Cubs would have to be undefeated.
  16. If Carp was on the Cubs, he would skip his next start, make the one after that, and feel pain again. Then they would do another MRI and they would realize he has to have Tommy John surgery. But since he's on the Cardinals, he'll skip his next start, make the one after that, and give up a couple hits and no runs in however many innings they let him go.
  17. Please tell me he tore a hamstring in the process.
  18. One thing that ticks me off about Oden is every single time he dunks, he pulls his body and legs up like it's a huge dunk or something. He doesn't just throw it down, he has to hang on the rim. And it's not just some of the time, it's virtually all the time. I don't think I've seen him do a two handed dunk that he didn't just dunk and come down.
  19. And Liverpool has all but secured a spot in the Champions League semifinals as they're up 3-0 on the road to PSV. There is no way PSV is going to go into Anfield and post a 3-0 win next Wednesday.
  20. Tim knows black magic.
  21. Gerrard puts Liverpool up 1-0 with a superb header in the 27th minute.
  22. Just out of curiosity, do you hold this belief for just baseball or is that for all sports? EDIT: And I love the blue uniforms.
  23. Washington won't be good but I don't see how they will lose at least 117 games.
