    Which came immediately on the heels of an 8 game losing streak. Which I was a proud part of. Stupid Richard Hidalgo. Story please. The only story here is my buddy who was drunk by 9 AM and passed out twice by the 6th inning in his first ever trip to Wrigley. :lol: Awesome.

Pitchers do tend to peak later than hitters. The Cubs probably could have had him in the majors and succeeding in 2005, and definitely 2006, if it wasn't for their silly usage patterns with him. And just think, if he was Hispanic, we would find out at some point this year or in the offseason after the year that he's actually 32.

    Lilly has given up a grand total of 7 runs in 4 starts and his record is 1-2. Pathetic.

    and split. only because of the awesomeness that is Rich Hill Ted Lilly has given up a total of 3 runs in his last 2 starts and has lost both Yeah. But, what are you gonna do? This is what we get when we sign up to be Cubs fans. TED LILLY'S BRAIN: I have 3 years and 6 months more of this? Just watch. His next start he'll give up 5 or 6 runs and get the win.

    If you're pinch hitting for the catcher, why not pinch hit with the new catcher if he's a better hitter. If the Cubs score one run in the ninth and have to go extras, Barrett's going to be in the game anyway so why pinch hit with Murton instead and effectively burn a player? Makes no sense.

    That's pretty much Isringhausen's MO, too. The thing is, he hasn't blown a save yet to my knowledge. He's due. *Barrett GS in April 2006* I still have that video on my computer. I love it. So do I.

    We're talking about a bloop hit down the LF line that Floyd played into a triple. Even if he had cut the ball off it would have been a double. That's still not a triple. A flyball to the outfield doesn't score a runner from third.

    Whoever had today in the ejection pool should be a little ticked (not much because the call went the Cubs way) because if the umps don't change their call, I bet Lou would have gone ballistic.
