    It’s crazy how much the average Cub fan, even ones who follow the team quite a bit, just think Pedro is okay or even not good. He’s been remarkably consistent not only by Cubs but MLB standards since he’s been here. He’s horsefeathering good. If Arrieta never would have thrown a pitch for us, that trade still would have been a good one for Theo.

    Definitely rooting for the Sharks since they're the local team. Definitely rooting against the Blues because horsefeathers St. Louis. Definitely rooting against the Bruins because horsefeathers Boston. I suppose I'll root for the Islanders since they haven't won in a long time. Blue Jackets would be fine also.

    They threw at his head twice last night late in the game up big, idk if anything had happened earlier in the game. Not just that but the guy Hoskins homered off of was the same pitcher who threw at his head last night.

    I'm no hockey expert but that's what I kind of thought also. Seemed like it was based more on the result of the hit than the actual hit. I didn't hear much of the explanation (happened to check the game right after the injury happened) but do they escalate penalties for that? I know for high sticking they can sometimes give out a double minor penalty. Could something like that have happened for this?

    Anyone watching the Sharks-Knights game? Sharks were down 3-0 with 10 minutes left and some dude on Vegas picked up a 5 minute major penalty. Sharks got two within the first minute of the penalty and just got the 3rd with 1:21 left in the penalty. That's a series changing penalty. And they just picked up a 4th 30 seconds later. This is nuts.

I repeat what I said before, he is playing LF because the NL doesn't have a DH and LF (or 1B) are the places you hide big-time sluggers with defensive liabilities. No you're wrong. I mean you're just totally wrong by all measures of man and god Provide the numbers that say the opposite or go away He made a couple bad plays in the 2015 NLCS so he was and will always be terrible defensively.

    The semi with Spurs should be a fun one. Ajax is legit. Beat Real and Juve on the road plus tied at Bayern. There are definitely going to be a bunch of goals scored in that tie.

    Yelich homered again against the Cards so he’s at 8 through 6 games. The record against one team in a season is 14. Yelich has 13 games left against the Cards to do it.

    Have to get over .500 first. I’ll stand by my comment earlier in the week, we get to 10 wins before 10 losses Schedule is set up for it. Angels without Trout, Marlins and DBacks are the next 8 games.

    This dude's probably wondering why we didn't just keep Bryan LaHair after he put up a .885 OPS in 69 PAs in 2011 and a 1.243 OPS through his first 103 PA's in 2012. I mean, LaHair even got an All Star nod! Should have given him a lifetime contract.
