  1. Vaunted Cardinals (sorry, had to) lost both games of the DH.
  2. And they lost Game 1.
  3. I'm all in on anti-cubs you ok man? He hasn’t been since like August 2018. The Brewers broke him.
  4. LOL. I'm all in on anti-cubs Well the Cards are certainly a model franchise so hoping they win the division makes total sense.
  5. Royals just blew a 3 run lead in the 9th. Still bottom 9, tied at 5.
  6. 18 hits? How do the Tigers only have 7 runs?
  7. Just a wonderful inning by the pen.
  8. He’s really only been a real elite hitter in 2018 until September and then a month or two last year. Saw some tweet the other day about it. He’s been shockingly average from a wRC+ standpoint outside of that period. There's a pretty big gap between elite and what he's doing this year though. How many people, with how flawed he is as a hitter, thought he'd be an elite hitter? We had hope, sure. But 2018 sure seemed like a career year at the time. In 2017, he had 4 of 6 months with a OPS+ of 116 or higher. 2018 he was above 100 each month, and above 140 in 4 of the 6 months. 2019 he was above 100 for 4 of 5 months (4 PA in Sept) and had 3 of 5 over 110. His 83 OPS+ right now would be his worst monthly split since April 2017. We don't necessarily need runner-up MVP Javy (though it certainly would be nice), but we do need a 100-110 OPS+ Javy.
  9. Isn’t it because Baltimore was projected to be terrible this year and Toronto wasn’t so 25-30 games isn’t enough to drastically change that, even in a short season?
  10. https://twitter.com/jerdbertly/status/1297576918796181504 Officer, it's not mine. I don't know how it got in my phone. This is just as bad as Brennaman claiming he didn't know the homophobic slur he used was, in fact, a homophobic slur.
  11. Underwood is bad even by mop up guy/last man in the pen standards.
  12. This should surprise literally nobody.
  13. My first instinct was to wonder why he thought that apology was a good thing to say but then I remembered he was someone who casually drops homophobic slurs at work and then it made a lot more sense.
  14. Didn’t realize that many Reds fans disliked him (I know, small sample of fans on the internet). Always thought it was how White Sox fans loved Hawk because he was their guy. They probably deleted a good hundred posts from the thread. There were bonkers defenders. Grade A schadenfreude. That makes more sense then. I only read the first 3-4 pages but most of it was criticizing him and saying he won’t be missed.

  16. I love the “that’s not who I am” part. Like, anything you’ve said at your job, you’ve almost certainly said or expressed in your private life also.
