  1. St. Louis never ever losing doubleheaders and often sweeping them could be a problem They got swept by the Pirates 9 days ago.
  2. Cubs in the second inning had bases loaded no outs and couldn’t score. Cards have bases loaded one out in the third and get two runs. Margin of victory? 2 runs.
  3. Were the Cards playing the infield back for the Souza AB?
  4. Split the DH and we’re in good shape for the series.
  5. Bucks blowing it in the 4th. ETA: outscored 36-13 right now.
  6. Cubs shouldn't lose to the Pirates then They’re 5-1 against the Pirates this year.
  7. Great ending to Bos-Tor. Glad Toronto won just to make it a series.
  8. Ask and you shall receive apparently. Can't speak about Ross since I wasn't able to watch much of the game, but the Cubs delivered for us. In that case, please finish off the sweep, Cubs. GO CUBS!!!
  9. Boy did OKC ever screw up the end of that game. Dort takes a 3 that's blocked with 5 seconds left after a disjointed possession. He was 6-12 from 3 today but was at 18% from 3 in the series and 30% for the regular season. Then they get the ball back down 2 with 1.1 seconds left. Can't get the ball in the first time and are forced to call a time out. Second time, they also can't get the ball inbounds and have to try to throw it to Steven Adams outside the 3-point line to avoid the 5 second violation. The ball gets deflected and they lose.
  10. Well that wasn't quite as easy as it should have been. However: Please don't mess around in this one, Cubs (I'm looking at you, Ross).
  11. Lit up Sonny Gray also. His ERA went from 1.94 to 3.19 today.
  12. Madden was fine in the beginning. Does that count? was he? i think maybe the cubs were so good that it just took us a while to realize joe is just a typical baseball manager I would say he definitely wasn’t bad in the beginning. Not saying he was good necessarily though. You could be right though that the Cubs were good enough to cover up his flaws. He butchered Game 7 but he also out thought Bochy in Game 4 against SF to get the better hitter to the plate during the rally (can’t remember which one).
  13. Lol. I’m not sure he threw a strike in that AB and still got the K despite Moran not swinging.
  14. Madden was fine in the beginning. Does that count?
  15. So this pretty much sums up the Reds series: Also, hat tip to myself. Anyway, a split for that Reds series was fine. Could have been better but could have been worse. Picked up a 1/2 game on the Cards and only lost a 1/2 game to the Brewers despite them playing the Pirates. Would be nice to have a big series here going into a 5-gamer against the Cards over the weekend. GO CUBS!!!
  16. Probably not a good idea to walk the 7 and 8 hitters.
  17. Would have been nice to win both today considering the pitching matchup for this one. Of course, because it's baseball, the Cubs will probably find a way to win. GO CUBS!!!
  18. That was the 6th but he also struck out with a runner on 2nd and no outs in the 5th, so you’re forgiven for forgetting which bad AB by Almora is which.
  19. Don’t know why they moved him back to the ninth so quickly.
