Reds played well, got to first then slump and fell to last in the division. The Cubs played well, got to first place then slump and fell in the division. The Brewers played well, got to first and then their slump should be incoming, right?
There'll need something to hang their hats on when they stop hitting homeruns and struggle to score runs. Plus the Cubs will return the favor to the Sox in August.
Let them enjoy this.
If Clay Holmes was a target for the Cubs (slim as it might be), cross him off. Broke his fibula taking a line drive off the bat of Spencer Jones and is out for awhile.
The last player from the KHL (that I can find) the Blackhawks signed turned out to be a damn good player. So, who knows.
Hawks have already said Kantserov will be one of the two top lines, the question is if he will be playing with Bedard or Frondell?
I'm not crazy about the Lions on Thanksgiving and Packers at Christmas.
With that said Detroit deserves to receive their receipts for last season and ruining Christmas for the Packers would definitely be fun.
To me there is no real reason for the Bulls to move up.
I've also seen two different nonsensical Bulls/Jazz trade ideas.
1. JJJ for 4th and Patrick Williams. Yeah, no. I want Williams off the team but not at the expense of the #4 pick.
2. #2 for 4, Buzelis and a future 1. Again, no.
I have learned from last year not to overreact. This is still early May. Did anybody actually think the Cubs would remain supernova for the rest of the season?
