    It did not originate with Dusty - I remember dubbing the blue jersey "Lieber blue" because Jon Lieber was pretty much the only Cubs pitcher who wore it at that time. Don Baylor was the manager then. Wasn't Leiber with us under Riggleman?

    If his last name is Ethier or Kemp - all the better. As good as Ethier and Kemp are or are going to be, do we really need more outfielders? There's no such thing as too much of a good thing.

    I think everyone is aware what a "darkhorse" is, but were a little confused as to what a "darkHOUSE" was. It said darkhouse, really? Eh, it was still before 11am, I'm still in the process of waking up then.

    Hahaha, Piniella has to be one of the least photogenic people ever. He's always doing something stupid. Great for captions. "This is how I smiled when I stole your job." He ain't exactly smiling there. And I offer an apology for the use of "ain't".

    I'll never understand how Hendry could justify going into 2005 with the OF he had, which pretty much guaranteed Burnitz would get a ton of playing time. He was, uh, hamstrung by the sosa situation. Which is why we had to have Burnitz instead of Beltran. Or something like that. Yeah but we had this dude named Matt Murton who could have used some more starts but Dusty just had to play Burnie damn near every day. It was like Burnie was some indispensable superstar and not a washed up geezer who wasn't going to be on the team the next season. No way did he need or deserve to get 155 starts. Wasn't this the year where we were all pleading for DuBois?

    I get surprised by every picture I see of Marquis pitching. I always swear he's a left handed pitcher, he just seems like a lefty, ya know?

    Joe Carter...wow what a statement, hahah Well... Carter had some personality, didn't he? I can't quite remember why I hated him so much. Carter is a great guy, but he was absolutely awful in the booth. Painful to listen to. Oh, I have no doubt he's a great guy, buy I really hated him in the booth. I just wish I knew what I hated so much.

    The 5th run was also an RBI single by Coats wasn't it? Drove In Barrett, I think.

    It sounded like he did all right-he gave up a couple of hits and a run in the second, but he also struck out two in 2 innings and only had 1 hard hit out. 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 K How did we score? Cedeno solo home run, Barrett inside the park home run, Perez sac fly, I forget the other run. Jones single, maybe?
