    Iowa and Memphis are scoreless in the bottom of the second. Hill so far: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 Ks, HBP. West Tenn is scoreless after 1. JR Mathes is back after missing 2 starts due to injury. Daytona down 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th. Carlos Perez: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 4 Ks, 3 BBs. Peoria is up 1-0 in the middle of the 6th. Estrada: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 Ks, 2 BBs. Davey Gregg has the Chiefs' run, Ryan Norwood with the RBI.

    You're right, they wouldn't crack the Cubs' top 30. But that's about what I'd expect out of Williamson. He might be an ML reliever, but I'm sure he's not looked that highly because of his struggles this year, his injury history and his calling out Dusty.

    The Cubs get 19-year old lefty Fabian Jimenez Angulo and 22-year old righty Joel Santo from Class A Fort Wayne. Angulo is 5-7 with a 4.43 ERA. Santo is 5-6 with a 5.51 ERA. Joel Santo was rated by BA as the Padres' #16 prospect going into the season. He's 22, has one of the best pure arms in their system, very projectable, has smooth mechanics and an effortless delivery. FB in the low 90s (tops out at 95), his slider and change need a lot of work though. He might eventually end up in the pen and he's got considerable upside. Fabian Jiminez (no Angulo) was the #29 prospect in the Padres' system going into the season. He'll be 20 in about a month, and has a lot of upside. His FB is in the low 90s too and has topped out at 94, but has often been in the 80s because of poor mechanics. His offspeed pitch and changeup are even further behind than Santo's and his control and command are bad right now. He's very young and has a lot of raw skills, though. Both guys sound interesting with some potential, but not worth much. About what you'd expect for someone like Williamson (I'd think this is what relievers will be valued at - not the Majewski trade).

    Knobs at #25 was a decent player for alot of years and was even an All-Star. Mo Vaughn wasn't a shabby player either.

    West Tenn ended up winning the suspended game 2-1 in the 9th. Richard Lewis got the game winning RBI single. Game 2 will start shortly... Daytona and Dunedin are scoreless right now (Daytona is hitless too) after 2 innings.

    Just a heads up, but our own Serena might be in the booth with Ron Potesta during game 2 of the Jaxx doubleheader! Hopefully the audio is working better, but right now that doesn't look too optimistic. :(

    Randy Wells. A converted catcher who is having a great season at AA and now AAA. He should probably rank between 10 and 20 in the Cubs top prospects. His best asset is his control, he has an 88-92 mph FB, plus change and average slider. ah i see... so he is the next Marmol???? Marmol has much better stuff...and worse control. Also, Wells isn't on the 40-man roster as of now.

    Why do some people assume Prior is just a big wuss and cant take pain? Did I miss the quote from any reliable source that said his injuries were overblown by him? Also sometimes a coach forces the issues and takes caution with a players pain. Prior sure was a wuss going back out there to pitch after colliding with Giles in 03. And he sure was a wuss for returning quicker than expected from the line drive on the elbow. If I recall correctly he missed his next start or was taken out of that game after the collision.. He missed 4 starts with a pretty serious shoulder injury. But he actually went out right after the collision/injury and pitched. I think that's the opposite of being a wuss, but that's obviously just me.

    Parker gave up 3 ER in 5 innings (7 hits, 2 Ks, 1 walk). Julio Castillo has followed with 2 shutout innings. After 7, we're tied at 3. After not striking out yesterday once in 5 ABs, Drew Rundle has struck out each of the 3 times he's come up today.
