  1. YES!! Encarnacion looked awful there, even for his standards.
  2. WTG Endy. I thought his glove would fall over with the ball in it.
  3. The same Jeff Weaver who has been superb in the playoffs. Different year same story in St.Louis crappy players produce great results. It's a small sample size, someone who shouldn't succeed in the long haul is bound to get hot.
  4. Oh, that's smart. P.S. Don't mess with TLR holograms.
  5. He got hurt in July - I forgot how.
  6. Goony is pulling a Minnesota Vikings!
  7. I am quickly becoming a fan of Lincoln Holdzkom. I hope the Cubs add him to the 40-man.
  8. Heh, ESPN was only crediting him with 19. He was a beast. Again, the NFL Network is re-airing the game at 8 pm ET tonight. Sorry, it's on at 9 pm ET. It's 2 hours long, so I guess one should tune in for the last half hour.
  9. You have to look for abnormalities. The calf thing has been known about Prior going back to college. Do they have testing there? Didn't he pitch for Team USA during that timeframe too? Yes, Prior pitched for Team USA.

  11. I don't see how you guys are borderline at all. You should get Vikings-Seahawks.
  12. Dusty is also in the AFL Hall of Fame.
  13. So walks, elbow pain, back pain, and so on are not reasons to worry? What does he have to do to worry people? I'm very concerned the pitch counts and poor mechanics when his pitch count gets high will catch up to him sooner or later. The back pain is also very concerning, back pain often is chronic.
  14. This doesn't mean he won't re-sign with the Cubs.
  15. Still no official confirmation either way.
  16. No, bad taste is signing your failed GM to an extension and then leaving town. Nice. Nice sig. :) Thanks, but in the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I'm hoping to have one of an ND player nailing a Bruin after this weekend. shouldn't they be focused on the game? D'oh!
  17. Jose Reyes (the Cubs catcher) turns up on the Esterellas Orientales. Esterellas won their opener yesterday, 4-2, box (scroll down to 2nd page for this game): C J. Reyes 1/4, R, HR (1), RBI (2)
  18. Alan Schwarz sat down with Billy Beane: http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/majors/features/262668.html You have to have a subscription to read it, so I'll leave you with the intro - it looks like Beane has made Schwarz a believer:
  19. No, bad taste is signing your failed GM to an extension and then leaving town. Nice. Nice sig. :)
