Exactly. Even if the Cubs drafted him, there was no way Piniella and Hendry could envision a guy with such limited pro experience taking up a roster spot all year. McDonough planted the seed that this organization plans on going to the World Series this year. A team that makes that kind of commitment isn't really doing themselves much of a favor by trying to hide a guy on their 25 man roster all year. Plus Lou has had some experience with him in Tampa, maybe he felt it wasn't worth it too. I sure hope he makes it. Lou and Tim Wilken.
