  1. Yeesh, what has happened to Arizona over the past few seasons? Such a talented team too, they never play defense.
  2. He gave up a homer with the bases juiced Izzy with another hit Woodchip is right. Any runs scored after there are two outs and there has been an error (where the guy didn't later get out) should be unearned. Intuitively, it makes sense. I disagree. An argument could easily be made that the batter (after the error) has nothing to do with the previous hitter. IMO, that run should be on Woody. Without the error, the inning is over.

  5. I changed the box score - I'd defer to Tim on this, I'm sure he knows better than I. Wish MLB.com would update their box score to charge Cesar with the error.
  6. That's not an earned run for Woody as the hr was hit when there should have been three outs in the inning. That makes sense...
  7. HBP, BB, E6, HR/2out = 4R/1ER Did they change the rules of scoring? When I was a kid, all these runs would have been unearned because without the error the inning would have been over. I'm not saying it makes sense, but that's the way it was. Haha, anyone have a clue? I always worked under the assumption the HR and everything after it is earned.

  9. He gave up a homer with the bases juiced Izzy with another hit That's my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong. As CubColt(eww)Pacer pointed out, the MLB.com box doesn't have an Izturis error, so they have all 4 runs as earned. You are correct, the boxscore is wrong. I always go under the assumption that I am right. 8-)
  10. He gave up a homer with the bases juiced Izzy with another hit so if the inning would have continued and more runs scored, would they be considered earned, as well? After the HR, because the HR is on Woody.

  13. HBP, BB, E6, HR/2out = 4R/1ER My mistake it should read HBP, E6, BB, HR/2out = 4R/1ER Actually Wood didn't walk anyone - it was a K/wild pitch.
  14. E-6, HBP, K-wild pitch, then the grand slam.
  15. He's no longer a coach!! :D Tell that to Musberger. I just need to see Ben Howland on the sidelines. Getting rid of Lavin felt better than getting rid of Don Baylor or Dusty Baker.
  16. i bet those refs hate the irish so much, they won't even get drunk on st. patty's day Heh heh. Oregon up 46-31 on Arizona with about 15 minutes left in the first game of the quadruple header at Staples.
  17. It isn't? Washington's shooting guard got a T for doing that last night. Eric Devendorf did not. ND's up 9 with 90 seconds though. Mind you, Pointdexter was pushing a Sun Devil out of the way to go celebrate with Spencer Hawes.

  20. It's his second outing. I wouldn't come to any concrete conclusions one way or the other. And 2 of the baserunners reached on a K-WP and an error. It's a shame he didn't get 4 Ks in the inning.

  22. I would just prefer to see Pie split time with Jones while Floyd or Ward act as 1st PH out of the dugout. And with Pagan in the mix someone is going to rot on the bench anyway. Since Ward plays 1b, I think he actually fits better than Pagan or Floyd. The best idea is for Pie to play fulltime until he comes up to the bigs. He's not gonna do that splitting time with Jones or Soriano or anyone else. It's universally considered a bad idea in his development. Agreed.
