    I guess they are counting Piazza, Mondesi, etc. as pre-1995 Piazza has been up since 1992 Mondesi in 93 Don't forget about our favorite! Todd Hollandsworth was part of that trio of rookie of the years i believe. Edit: It was 1996 with Nomo being 1995 and Mondesi being 1994 Eric Karros also won ROY. Yup, 5 straight from 1992 on (Karros, Piazza, Mondesi, Nomo, Hollandsworth).

    Chadd Blasko was cut last week too. All four of the first rounders from that draft are officially gone.

    Oden isn't. Not this year. This is absurd. Oden is clearly the best player on Ohio State. He leads them in points, rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage and points per shot. He's also their best defensive player -- by a wide margin. Even if he didn't score at all, his defensive presence makes an enormous, though unquantifiable, difference. Plus, until the last three tournament games, he hasn't been in foul trouble at all. I agree on the defensive end, but I don't think he's necessarily their best player offensively.

    I have Georgetown winning this game (heh, I had them beating Texas A&M), but I have work on Monday night and our office gets the evening off if Ohio State wins (it's a weird between some of the offices in our company). Of course I won't care about Monday if the Bruins don't win game two.

    Don't agree with that - the Bulls don't have one player the offense should be run through. As keener said, Gordon has his weaknesses and the Bulls should look to minimize them when they run set plays.

    The Bulls don't *have* to go to Ben Gordon everytime down the stretch. Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich are competent.

    Shoulda gone with Hinrich or Deng there, Ben Gordon obviously wasn't going to score there.
