  1. I can't wait for him to go 1-10 against Boston this weekend and have all the Yankee fans boo him. Yankee fans don't deserve to have ARod on their team the way they've treated him. .351/.418/.965/1.383. Not too shabby.
  2. Psh, pessmist. Sub-1 ERAs are completely feasible. :P
  3. Peoria @ Great Lakes (game two): Camp 2B Lopez RF Lansford 3B Lewis 1B Lalli DH Castillo, W C Carter CF Joseph LF Johnston SS Dolis P Peoria got four in the top of the first and leads it 4-0.
  4. Ugh, second time this season he's had major issues with the fourth inning after getting by the first three with limited damage.
  5. Tennessee scoreless after 1...The Don had a 1-2-3 first inning, his ERA is finally below 9! Daytona scoreless in the third inning. Peoria now up 2-1 in the 7th inning.
  6. Actually, in the mock draft I linked, the Royals took HS RHP Rick Porcello. Andrew Brackman fell all the way to 10 at the Giants:
  7. Tennessee @ Chattanooga: Walker, C CF .317 Cortes LF .150 Spearman, J 2B .207 Kroeger RF .343 Fox 1B .243 Robinson C .182 Cates SS .278 Salas 3B .286 Veal P .000 Daytona @ St. Lucie: Amador RF .312 Matulia DH .375 Colvin CF .286 Valdez LF .283 Reynolds 3B .207 Chirinos SS .214 Spears, N 2B .220 Adduci 1B .182 Reed C .269 Blackford P 6.10 ERA
  8. Woo, off Kershaw. ETA: Eduardo Perez HRed in the 4th inning off Pina to make it 1-1.
  9. 5-1 in the bottom of the 6th. 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 7 K/1 BB, 3 HBP, 78 pitches (50 strikes)
  10. Iowa now up 5-1 in the middle of the 5th. Carlos Marmol: 5 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 6 K/0 BB, 2 HBP, 67 pitches (45 strikes).
  11. Iowa up 4-1 after 2...only Machado, Moore and Marmol don't have hits for Iowa already. Marmol: 2 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 1 K/0 BB, 1 HBP.
  12. We're screwed Wow, Hinrich, you idiot. Why? Because he supposedly said that they can beat the Heat in a 7 game series? Would you rather him say we have no chance? Besides, it's not like the Heat weren't going to give 100% effort in the series, anyways. Hinrich said his quote before last nights game when the Bulls were locked into the 2 seed. It was kinda weird when I read it, almost like the Bulls were aiming to play the Heat. Well now they have their wish. Some of the quotes: Hinrich: Nocioni: Remember, these quotes were made before the NJ game. So you want Hinrich and Noc to just shut up when the reporters ask about the Heat. Heat - Bulls is a much sexier match up than Nets/Wizards/Magic - Bulls. And if Wade or Shaq got trash talking from what Hinrich or Noc said, I don't know how either passed 3 years of college.
  13. Game-time temperature: 70°F Partly cloudy, winds blowing from 3B to 1B at 15 mph.
  14. I haven't seen any announcement on when Angel will pitch with Iowa yet. If he pitches on Saturday, he'd be going on 4-days rest and would be replacing the I-Cub starter who has struggled the most, Randy Wells. As of now it's like this: Today: Carlos Marmol Friday: JR Mathes Saturday: Randy Wells Sunday: Ryan O'Malley Monday: Les Walrond Tuesday: Carlos Marmol
  15. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Carlos Marmol (1-0, 1.93 ERA, 9.1 IP) Tennessee: LHP Donnie Veal (0-2, 9.39 ERA, 7.2 IP) Daytona: RHP Todd Blackford (0-0, 6.10 ERA, 10.1 IP) Peoria (game one): RHP Jose Pina (0-1, 1.80 ERA, 5 IP) Peoria (game two): RHP Rafael Dolis (1-1, 4.00 ERA, 9 IP) Marmol: 9.1 IP, 16 K/2 BB, .216 BAA Veal: 7.2 IP, 5 K/10 BB, .286 BAA Blackford: 10.1 IP, 7 K/5 BB, .324 BAA Pina: 5 IP, 5 K/3 BB, .188 BAA Dolis: 9 IP, 11 K/4 BB, .206 BAA
  16. Darren Collison is coming back too! :D http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/6702432
  17. http://mvn.com/milb-cubs/2007/04/18/fitch-park-update-from-az-phil-2/#more-67
  18. Bastards. Yeah, that sucks more than losing the game to NJ. I'm still pissed about that 3 Eddie pulled out of his ass against the Bucks a couple of weeks ago. He had the game-winning tip today.
  19. I would think Schidmazaazaz(sp?) before Veal.... Samardzija might make it to the big leagues before Veal (in Sept., since he's on the 40-man) but Veal is more likely to stick in the big leagues first. Veal is one level ahead of Samardzija and more advanced. Of course, amongst the minor leaguers, Sean Gallagher is closer to the bigs than Veal or the Shark.
  20. Hey, at least we're paying less than the Phillies will be for Brett Myers. (no, I'm not twisting the knife, abuck!) he'll be back in the rotation in time for the fantasy postseason. :D You hope.
  21. He threw the slider his junior year but before that he threw a curve. He's still learning that slider (and his change came his junior year too). While he does have a sinker, Jeff has gotten ahead of his share of batters but has not finished them off, so I do hope he's trying to get his Ks too.
