    Was this guy a notable signing? The name sounds familiarish, but it could be from my very loose following of the DSL/VSL the past few years. They seem to handle him with kitten gloves; seems to be pulled from games an awful lot, followed by the next few games off. Sounds like the Soler comparisons might extend to his health. Moreno was the highest rated pitcher they signed during the 2013 7/2 period. He had TJ surgery the next season. That's a leap on Eloy's health. On Erling, he was more highly rated than Jefferson Mejia only because Mejia wasn't rated by BA because they don't rate players who have been eligible in previous free agency periods. That said, Mejia got $850k to Moreno's $800k. Obviously agree with you on the Eloy nonsense.

    To be honest, only one of the 6-10 guys is in my top ten and Cease might fall out depending on the severity of the injury. Heck, Underwood isn't even in my top 20. I think some of this is what Kyle refers to as not getting enough new information on prospects midseason. I'm sure this list will be vastly different and more in line with what we expect after the season. And just an FYI, De La Cruz debuted earlier this week.

    So apparently Dylan Cease hit 103 mph earlier in the start he left with an injury (confirmed reading, not a stadium scoreboard).

    I don't disagree that Pomeranz is good. My only problem is I thought Espinoza would net a player with a more established track record who wasn't close to his career max IP totals. That being said, the odds are stacked in favor of Boston winning this trade.
