Maddon has been pretty good this year about getting guys appropriate rest, limiting pitch counts etc this year. If it was common for pitchers to wear out going into October you'd see other teams using 6 starters. Other teams don't have 7 game leads on their division. But it's not 15, Duke.

Gleyber got promoted the last week or so of last season from SB to MB, which seems like a good blueprint. Of course Myrtle Beach was in the playoffs last year and might not make it this year. South Bend is already in the playoffs.

Likely pitch count. Cubs have a strict inning pitch count on pitching prospects - I believe they're pulled if they top 30 in an inning and 4 BB and 1 K could easily get you to 30.

Leal is on the DL so I'm not sure he'll get promoted this season even if he comes back reasonably soon. Really don't see Castillo getting promoted except maybe at the end of the season if South Bend needs playoff help. If anyone moves up from Eugene to SB, it'll be Oscar De La Cruz.

Wow, five pitchers in the top 10. Who would slide in to 10 once Contreras loses rookie status? Tseng has looked pretty good, especially for his age/level.
